  1. I have received a letter from Bailiffs regarding unpaid Council Tax. The letter does not state the amount only threats of entering my home if I am there or not with police in attendance if necessary. I have considered moving my car away from the house and anything outside that he thinks he could attach. I know I am not to let them inside. The letter does not state the amount of debt owed or for what period. It is addressed to myself and my wife however the name for my wife is not her correct name. What do I do now?
  2. Just found this forum am grateful for the information on this despicible company. I too just recieved a letter from CRS claiming £125. I don't think so! I have contacted Consumer Direct, the police and Trading Standards Department. Here is a copy of the letter that I sent today as advised by this forum and also by Consumer Direct. 15 September 2008 Credit Resource Solutions PO Box 633 RE: Your Account – XXXXX Halifax QUOTE: XXXX HX1 2XU Dear Sir/Madam You have contacted me via the post dated 10/09/08 regarding the alleged debt with the above reference number, which you claim is owed by myself. I would point out that I have no knowledge of any such debt being owed to BPM Ground Services 4 – CRS Ltd. I am familiar with the Office of Fair Trading Debt Collection Guidance which states that it is unfair to send demands for payment to an individual when it is uncertain that they are the debtor in question. I would also point out that the OFT say under the Guidance that it is unfair and unlawful to pursue third parties for payment when they are not liable. In not ceasing collection activity whilst investigating a reasonably queried or disputed debt you are using deceptive/and or unfair methods. Furthermore ignoring and/or disregarding claims that debts have been settled or are disputed and continuing to make unjustified demands for payment amounts to physical/psychological harassment. I would ask that no further contact be made concerning the above account unless you can provide incontrovertible evidence as to my liability for the debt in question. (i.e Date, Location) I await your written confirmation that this matter is now closed. I have made a complaint to Consumer Direct, the Suffolk Constabulary, and the Trading Standards Department with regard to your activities. Furthermore, I intend to contact the FSA with regard to your Consumer Credit Licence. Unless you provide evidence to substantiate your claim against me I shall be unable to assist you further in this matter. In the meantime I absolutely deny your claim that the amount claimed, or any amount at all, is due to you from me. I look forward to your reply. Yours faithfully Might I appeal to everyone that have received a letter to complain to Consumer Direct (08454 040506) then maybe action will be taken to stop this [problem] as I do believe it is a [problem]. I certainly do not plan to lose any sleep over this. Thank you for this forum and thread. It helps a great deal to allay peoples concerns. What really concerns me is that there may wll be elderly people about who will pay up without question and who are not computer literate. THIS COMPANY NEEDS STOPPING AND INVESTIGATED.
