  1. It is everywhere. Like New magazine (I think) in big bright numbers it has 1 figure, something like 40 or 50p making you think that is the price but underneath in small letters it says 'cheaper than Now'. So by the time you get to the counter to pay for it your paying 50p more than you thought. I found that out at Gatwick in Whsmith's after standing in the queue for so long. I just paid the money because I couldn't be bothered.
  2. Your friend can either pay it back or state to them that paying it back would give her financial hardship. The choice is hers. Personally I wouldn't!
  3. Blyk is a free mobile phone service offering free calls (43 minutes) and texts messages (200 odd) a month for those aged 16-24. So for some of you it maybe your teenage sons and daughters who sign up for the service. My advice is to do not allow them to do it!! What Blyk do is send brand messages (MMS) about what you like to generate their profits to give the free minutes and text messages. But your phone has to have to correct settings to do this, no correct settings you don't get anything (the refill). I have been with Blyk since April and I have had a total of 3 refills. Now into the month of August there is no refill. And from their forums on their website and others on the net there are hundreds of others just like me. Their customer services are terrible - they get rude, they blame you for the service not working, they put the phone down and they do not want to pass you onto the technical team because they're 'all away'. Plus they just tell you to go to the forum and someone will answer your questions. For me they answered 1 but not the 2nd! My settings were fine until recently and I tried to reorder them but I couldn't receive the MMS to say 'Welcome to Blyk'. I ordered the settings via text message and I did it manually according to their website. Blyk told me the sim card is inactive but that's down to them because the settings were not changed and I did not change sim cards in my phone. My friend has not received her settings since the end of April.
  4. I am quite unsure about what to do about this problem with Arrow Global/Orange. When I was 18 (2005 and I'm now 22) I had a contract phone with Orange and from the start there was a problem! I was to pay the 1st bill (£35) by direct debit on Tuesday but there was no money in my account to pay the bill, called Orange to re-schedule the payment and they said it could not be done (LIES!!!). Never the less they tried to take payment and got a charge from Halifax of £35. I was getting paid that week on Friday (and every fortnight). Called back them back to pay the bill on Friday and they said they would re-try by Monday or Tuesday to take payment a whole week went by and no payment was taken. To cut the long story short I had the account with them for 3 months and the total was just £500. Orange obviously cut off the phone so I could only receive incoming calls and I was paying back the debt (just over £200) via my internet account with them and their 150 service. But Orange decided to disconnect my internet account and barred me from calling 150 (completely stupid!!!!). I decided to no longer repay the debt because they obviously did not want their money due to cutting me off from my easier sources. I couldn't use my Mum's house phone because she barred certain numbers. They were writing to what was my current address (Mum's address) to get back the debt for a few months and then I received no more letters. I moved out and I now live on my own at this address for a year and a half. They were still writing to my Mum's address but that was at the beginning of this year but that is how many years after not getting the money. I have now received 2 letters from Wescot Credit Services asking for me to pay back the debt of £398.12 on behalf of Arrow Global LLC-Orange, at my current address. But from what I understand Arrow Global have bought my debt (according to their website of what they do) so do I owe the money to Orange, Arrow Global or Wescot? It's confusing, I don't have the old letters because they all got ripped up. Wescot are threatening to recover goods, good luck with that because my stuff is not worth much in reality and I already know not to let them in my property, or they will return the debt to the client to then be passed on to another agency. In truth I don't want to pay back nothing because when I was willing to pay Orange cut me off! Saying the future's bright the future's Orange more like ****e!! Can anyone help!?!?
