  1. Hi there, it took 3 and a half months to gedt my statements, but if they don't come in the 40 days, then leave it a few weeks then write to them telling them if your statements haven't arrived within a week, and give them the date a week from the date of your letter, then you will make a complaint to the data protection commissioner, i done that after i got frustrated with calling, and within 5 days i got all my statements. The reason i haven't done it sooner is because my dad was in hospital for weeks and i put it to the back of my mind for a while. But he got loads better and i started to realise i had a serious case on my hands, so i threatened them with the data protection commisioner as they brock the data protection with not supplying what i wanted after paying the fee within the time the law states. Then 2 days before the date i told them to have them on my doormat or i shall complain, they postman came kncing on my door with a special delivery that i had to sign for!! So i suggest leave it for the full 40 days, if nothing leave it for another 14 then threaten them with the Data commissioner, then if they Don't have the statements within the 7 days you've stated go to ICO – Information Commissioner's Office where you can make the complaint, but i think you will get them after you threaten and when you do write to N.J.Inett the data protection consultant!! Let me know Jean x x xx
  2. After sending my Subject access request in JUNE, i last week recieved the statements, only after threatning that i will complain to the data protection commissioner as they have brocken the data protection, as they were supposed to send them within 40 days but it's taken 3 and a half months!! I have added up the charges and it comes to £920 over 4 years. So now i have just sent the first letter stating i would like it back, as i closed the account last year i know full well they will send an on your bike letter stating the charges where in the contract. Well yesterday i won a claim from Lloyds tsb for £175, i know it's not a lot but it's given me so much confidence that i know i am going to win this claim too!!! So they have 14 days to get back to me and i will let you know!!
  3. Well done mate, i got a bonus yesterday too, i was owed £145 from lloyds and had written the first letter then the second letter of which they sent me details of the financial ombudsman service to complain to them, well a guy called me from the FOS and told me Lloyds are going to repay all the charges, i know it's not a large sum of money but being a single mum that's come i handy!! So got a babysitter tonight i'm going out too which i haven't done since March!!!!
  4. After sending 2 letters to Llolyds asking for my money, and knowing they were goin to say no, they told me to make a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman serviced, so i wrote to them and thought they would be the same as Lloys, but recieved a phone call today from the FOS saying good news Lloyds have a greed to pay back all my charges from opening the account in Aug 05, totalling to £175.00. I know this isn't alot and some people are claiming back thousands, but if you REALLY persevier with getting your money back you will get it back, so keep on writing letters and getting your point across because you will win!!
  5. HELLO After spending some time on this site i decided to write a short but to the point letter to Lloyds and witin 6 days they got back to me basically saying "NO". I am only trying to get back £120 back in returned DD, i know it's not thousands, bujt i'm a single mum now and that amount is alot. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW. PLEASE HELP;
  6. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME UNDERSTAND A FEW THINGS!!
