  1. Most of the conversations were face to face or on the phone, we only have the emails for them saying for us to find another removals company as they booked up. I just can't see they can expect payment when they didn't provide a service
  2. Hi guys Just need a little advice really, we were looking for s removals company, we had a quote and they said they could move us no matter what, even if doubled booked they have enough men/vans to cater for that it was to happen We accepted a quote including supply boxes etc, as with house sales dates move and change, they supplied boxes and we Packed and we eventually have a date. Then said they couldn't move us as they have another booking Then then have tried to bill us for boxes. Do.i have to pay, no contact was signed and the verbal contract was they can move us no matter what and it was the removals company who couldn't furfill the contract. 3. Thanks will take a look, no don't think they are with any bodies! They own loads of sites like garden buildings direct etc. I think we may have paid with a credit card if not then debit card. Thanks
  4. Hi Not sure if this is the right problem. We purchased a summer house just under 2 years ago direct from kobotech. It's described as a heavy duty and built to last. It's classed as there ultimate range. But the roof supports don't seem strong enough to support the roof and over this time the roof as sagged and has basically pushed the sides out. This cost me over 1400. I know it's past the 12 months. But I've emailed them and they just don't care. I want to know how to go about trying for one, unsatisfactory quality and also the fact that the website states heavy duty etc, when it clearly isn't. Can someone please help me with an angle where I ca either get the parts that are failing replaced, or get them to do something. If we have any snow I'm sure the roof will collapse. Thanks in advance
  5. Hi i need some advice really, on good friday i took my car to a chain of garges, for a full service and M-O-T. The mot was due on the 26th which was tuesday, but they said they didnt have time to book in for m-o-t and could only manage the service, - Fair enough. But when arriving to pick up the car, they stated several items were broken and needed to be replaced as it would fail its m-o-t. So with having a family etc, started to panic as we needed to car and didnt have the money to replace the parts required. Rear Coil spring broken - this was the main item it would fail on and would need them replacing in pairs etc and needed all new disc brakes and pads and they were dangerous. and i have this down in writing So i left it at that, and took it to another local garage and explained my problems so i could book them in to be fixed - he took a look, and found nothing to be wrong like the prevous garage has said and its passed its mot (didnt think garages turned away cash) but i just dont think its right for a large chain of garages, to say items are broke when they are not. its fraud and would like to know whats the best way of writing to them to complain etc? thanks in advance
  6. Hi im after a little help yesterday ive picked up a used renault that ive recently purchased, on driving home, i noticed a few things were wrong. but its a 2 hour drive to the garage. First one is theres a clunking noise on the steering and the second fault is the car can lose power when acclerater is pressed and i have to take foot off and back on again for it to regain power. i belive its best to put it in writing and someones told me i can either ask for my money back or i can give the dealer 14 days in which to repair the viechle. But i suppose the letter has to be worded correctly can anyone help with this?? thanks
  7. I bought the Foxconn motherboard, from ebuyer.com. Foxconn do have offices here in the uk. but they said there only return center is in the netherlands. they have already said they will swap the motherboard, by there tech guys going through things with me and asking me to do several things, the motherboard is classed as dead, and is covered by a 3 year warranty, and id had it 12 months and 2 weeks but as ive stated the cost of postage is nearly the cost of a new one, but still dont get why they dont have anywhere in the uk to send it to even though they have offices here! so under soga would i be able so ask for they to pay for postage? thanks
  8. Acer laptops do have demoware of oberon media games, its something to do with acer arcade!. Il look to see if any of the demos have been registered. Was the packaging acer? the only box that would have been plain is the internal packaging!! The only problem i see, is this laptop should have been tested at acer, and usb ports wouldnt get damaged in transit! that would be virtually impossible. i take it the two usb portsthat are broken are together?? are the pins that broken identical?? this could indicate manafacturer fault when being made
  9. You mention the Acer packaging wasnt sealed?? this normally has security tape along all openings? And a quick question as to the game programs that were installed last september?? what are these games, if these are not standard issue games then you a case with it being a customer return!! When you first booted the laptop up did you have to go through a setup ie language etc or did it boot straight to windows?
  10. Just woudl like some advice, just over a year ago a purchased components to build a pc, the motherboard failed, so contacted the supplier and they said it was onver 12 months but was covered my 3 year garantee from the manufacturer. This after two weeks and been agrees to swap. But my issue is there only repair center is based in the netherlands and to send the motherboard over is nearly the cost of a new one. Ive emailed them to ask is they weill refund the postage cost, they said that its not in there policy and theres nothing they can do? But surely its not my fault the the motherboard is faultyand that i shouldnt pay postage costs etc and someone has said that under uk law the consumer shouldnt be out of pocket for a fault item??? any advice on this woudl be great thanks!

But due to things changing i needed a bigger car, but when i have gone into enquire they wont let me have any other car than what i already have! is this correct, i understand a fee may be charger as its earlier that the three years im ment to keep the car, but can they restrict me to one car, i was under the impression that i could trade it in for any other car as long as its a peugeot? thanks in advance:confused:
  12. its proton finance which i think are part of black horse
  13. ive been complaining to the dealer since ive had the car, but ive not sent off the letter till about month 7 and ive been told that it makes it harder to get anything done. But i didnt find out that the car had a front end resprayed until a several months after buying the car
  14. Well i was told when i brought the car that the bonnet and sill had been resprayed due to stone chips, after a week or so it became clear that a few panels were different colours. It then turned out the car had a full front end respray by the main dealer before it was sent to the garage where i brought it. the bonnet now has been sprayed 3 times after paint has peeled off and its now got to go in again as its happened again. and there are now masking marks etc where they have tried to rectifiy the problems ive had the car 7 months now and still having problems with paintwork and colour mis match. But if id have known the car has been respayed i wouldnt have bought it and its becuase of this im having problems with the paintwork. ive believe that i have given them enough time to rectifiy the problem ive wrote to the finance company so just need to know what they are supposed to do know as technincally they own the car
  15. Hi Ive believe that i have been mis lead when i purchased a car recently. Ive got the car on finance. Ive wrote letter to the dealership and finance companys.as i want to return the car. what rights to i have with the car being on finance. and whats the role of the finance company now ive lodged a complaint. Do they fight this case for me? or do they contact the dealership? what happens next
  16. hi Guys ive written the bulk of the letter can anyone give me any tips for better ways of phrases things etc Thanks in advance To Whom It May Concern, On 14.01.08, I bought a Proton Gen 2 from (add garage name and address) for £5495. I believe that I have been mis-sold the car, as acts detailing the description of the car were misrepresented. The car was advertised on the website but wasn’t on site to view. The sale team assured me the vehicle would be in excellent condition, but they were awaiting details from Dealership. After a few days I returned to garage name and I was told the bonnet and driver side had been resprayed. I was also told that the car would have the 18k mile service and usual checks. After several weeks when the car arrived, there were obvious colour differences between the drivers door and the wing. garage name after a debate agreed and sprayed the vehicle and I was told it was the door that was painted on the advice from Mr B. I then noticed the colour difference between the drivers wing and the bonnet, however garage name did not agree. On driving home disappointed that the job had not been done properly I noticed the steering wheel was out of line . After discussing this with Mr C, this was on the proton 18k mile service check sheet but wasn’t done .Not only that, but the air con also smelt of damp and after a few days noticed the off side wing and door has a colour difference. After months of complaining (with no avail) I get sent over to services department to arrange a meeting with Mr B to look at the paint work. While waiting for this date to come around paint peels of the bonnet whilst washing my car by hand! Mr B agrees that there are colour differences and agrees to respray them. Whilst in this discussion, I find out that the rear door of my car was also sprayed and that the whole front end had been sprayed by Dealership before the car arrived at the garage and that is what has caused the colour differences in the first place. I hadn’t been told any of this on purchase. Since then, the paint work has been done twice and paint has peeled again on the bonnet. I now have masking marks on the car from this respraying, and have been passed from pillar to post in trying to resolve these matters with garage name and Dealership The cutomer services at garage name have been less than helpful passing my complaints through many channels without results and some emails I have sent have not been responded to. All these problems are due to being mis-informed when I bought the car. If I’d have known about the paintwork I wouldn’t have bought the car in the first place. Due to the information above I believe you have misrepresented the way matters actually were. I believe garage name are in breach of the 'Misrepresentation Act 1967', the 'Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982' and the sales of goods act 1979, due to the car not being of satisfactory quality. I bought this car on trust from garage name and understand I bought a second hand car. However, I bought a car which was less than 18 months old because I wanted a quality car and believed a Proton car would be. garage name have been less than professional in dealing with these matters as very little communication between the employees at this garage have taken place with regards to my complaints and questions. Phone calls have been passed between two, three even four people all of which know nothing of the problems I’ve had (or being ignorant of these problems) and I feel strongly that some employees at garage name think that by spraying a part of the car will solve the problems. I have been told that different people are to blame for the problems; from each other at garage name to Dealership themselves with no-one actually taking accountability. I am very disappointed with this purchase and this has caused me 7 months of undue stress and time wasted. I now wish to return the car which I have been mis-sold as the problems do not seem to be being solved and receive my money back or a sum of money close to what I have paid (given mileage has been added in 7 months). I do not see how else these problems can be resolved and as the car is under a 6yr warranty I will end up returning and returning to garage name unhappy and frustrated and the poor quality of paint work and disappointing customer service. I am sending this letter to Finance Company , Dealership and garage name with the hope that this issue will be resolved as a matter of urgency
  17. Thanks basically i just like a rought idea of how to word the acts into my letter
  18. Thanks Can you give me any help on how to word this letter roughly? i need all the help i can get
  19. Hi im new to this and not sure on what rights i have but il give you a brief description. I brought a car from a local dealer, the car wasnt on site, he gave me a discription of the car and of this i put a disposit on the car. I asked if there was any faults he sais just some stone chips on the bonnet which would be seen to and a side skirt. Anyway after about 3 weeks the car finally arrived, i checked over the car and i wasnt happy with one side of the car due to diffences in paint colour. The dealer finally agrees to sort this out, he says that the door was painted, the car looked fine, aftger a few days and the polish had faded i noticed that the wind and bonnet now didnt match, but he said then he had painted the wing and door as you cant paint just the one panel. but id noticed that the other wing was the same, it looked like the whole front end had been painted which wasnt made clear to me else i wouldnt have had the car then i moaned other issues which he failed to fix, so after a long battle i go to the manager and get these problems sorted meanwhile paint has came of the bonnet ive had various paintjobs to them to correct the problmes but i know having masking marks etc and diffent colour panels which i am not happy with. and now paint has started to peel again of the bonnet so this means car will be sprayed again and possibly different colours, my argument is if id have know the car had whole front end sprayed i wouldnt have brought the car, but also the car isnt even two years old so i woulnt expect this condition of paintwork with a car thats not even 2 years so can someone please advise me what i can do, really i could do with getting them to take the car back thanks in advance
