Hey, this web address doesn't work for me I am having my second dealing with ARC Europe. It seems that they use untrained hound dogs the first few times they call. This last guy was so aggressive that if I'd recorded the call I'm sure it would be considered harassment. He even contradicted the advice I had been given by Consumer Direct never mind denying that their initial letter (& only one received) asked me to contact the gym?! I even accused him of harassment for the way he wouldn't listen to what I was saying and his highly aggressive manner. In the end I had to hang up on him and I was left shaking for a good 40mins! I really don't know what's happened to this country when these con artist, aggressive agencies are allowed to continue. A consumers contract is with that company it shouldn't be allowed to be passed on to another company unless every avenue pre court intervention has been tried & they must have physical proof of this effort. But no we are left as fodder for these agencies. Knowing this government the senior mangers of OFT are probably indirect directors of these types of agency. I'm sure if anyone with legal knowledge was subjected to these calls they would find that 99% of these threats are based on fiction. Ha - massive sound off! Now I finally understand the other lengthy posts on this site. Thank you! Peace & Love Grrr!

I've just recieved a letter from CRS stating there is a balance due of £115.00 and on the 10th December 2007 my debt was legally assigned to CRS Ltd. That's six months ago! I immediately called them and eventually they told me that it was issued on 11th Dec 2006! With more probing I found out that the issuing authority was a private parking company BPM Ground Services. This was after being led to believe that it had been issued in a park! I pointed out that I had heard nothing till now and that I didn't believe that they were a real company because of the time delay. She, Amy, replied that the reason for delay was because I hadn't responded to the parking ticket??? A ticket which I've never recieved. She also said that it doesn't matter that I haven't recieved anything till now as I am still liable. She said that they have requested photographs from BPM and which will be sent to me via the post. She will then call me back to discuss it. Once again I pointed out the unfairness at the delay and she cut the conversation short. How do I complain to the office of fair trading? The only details I can find are consumer directs...
