However, yesterday i got a call from capital one at my parents house. I did not give this number out or gave them any permission to try and find me through this number. 4. I took out a loan of 400 pounds from payday express, the interest is 20 per 100 so in total 80. I have extended this by 2 month this costs 80 per month. on top of the 400. I would just like to know if this is classed as a fair late fee. I offered a payment plan of 100 per month so in total repayment would be for a 4 month. ( total 500 as stated in the credit agreement) what they said - they can't don’t that. I would have to pay 180 per month ( so that 100 off the 400, but add 80 for monthly interest)so in total for a 400 loan (over say 6 months): 80 = extention interest 100 = pay of the loan £80 ( Feb.) paid £80 (mar) paid 180 (April (paid) = total paid so fair is £340 180 (may) 180 (June 180 (july) total = £880.00 for a £400 loan over 6months What do the FSA and the OFT have to say about short term loans? if there are any links i can look at. ( in 2/3 weeks time i plan to send a letter and cheque for £160 for full and final settlement) so the total will be 500.
