  1. Thanks for replying pal, thinking that myself, it's just nice to hear someone else confirm it, just gonna sit tight i think and wait till the times just right and throw the ultimate curve ball that is STAT BARRED and hope for the best.
  2. i'm almost sure it was 2002. Just not 100% certain and thats my problem! it's just this whole bid your debt back thing that baffles me!
  3. hello all, since my last post where i decided to play the ignore everything game, i've been sent numerous threat letters with the last being from a firm called Hamptons Legal on the 10th of this month. They claim to be acting on behalf of Lowell, also threatening this that and the other:rolleyes: ignored that as well. Only to recieve 2 seperate letters from Lowell's dated the 18th for both debts ( which 1st credit still have not provided me cca requests for and who now claim not to know anything about those requests) asking if i would like to BID FOR MY DEBTS BACK OFF THEM:eek::-? Just wondering if anybody else has experianced such a letter, personally i think it's a ploy for me to accept the debt because i'm almost certain i'm stat barred. Just find the whole thing a bit bizzare, also said if i'm not willing to bid for my debts with a resonable offer, then i can pay £40 a month each for them! any help would much appreciated:)
  4. Firstly thanks for taking the time to reply. it's Lowell i have the dispute with due to the fact they're chasing a debt that my cca request hasn't been complied with. i'm thinking just to ignore them fully would be the best policy and see what they come up with next:confused:
  5. Arrgh:evil: just received my second batch of letters from Losers now in reply to my bemused letters, after my first letter off them had said "they were putting the account on hold while they contacted 1st ****heads regarding my dispute" They have now said "1st scumbags no nothing of the dispute and can i provide them details and evidence of this" and that's basically all my letter contains. Just wondering if anyone could give me a bit of advice as to my next move, ta very much!
  6. i'll keep an eye on your posts mate! Lowells have bought my debt off 1st credit after i'd cca'd connaught who passed the debt back to 1st credit. Gonna send them the bemused letter as to why they are chasing a disputed debt and see what happens Almost positive i'm stat barred on it as well, so it looks like i'm gonna be walkin the very path your on now my freind
  7. mine was pretty the much same as Wendy's case, they also closed the file on it and returned back to 1st ****heads. now Lowell have bought the debt off them, but thats a differant thread altogether. best of luck:)
  8. Superb i'll get it pasted and posted:-D thanks for replying pal much appreciated:)
  9. How do all, just a bit stuck again in choosing the best course of action. After my last situation with Connaught regarding a stat demand, which i would have been worried to death with if it weren't for the help of this superb forum and genuinly good people involved in it. i sent them a cca request which they got back straight away saying they closed the file and passed the debt back to 1st credit and all future correspondance to be with them. I've now received a letter from Lowells who have bought the debt off 1st credit should i just send them the normal cca request letter or is their another i could use to inform them my original request has still not been answered, and i've read from a few posts that Lowells have a habit of buying uncollectable debts, why is that i wonder:confused: any advice would be much appreciated:)
  10. just wondering:confused: i've been sent a letter today from lowell's saying they've bought my Loyds debt off 1st credit etc etc. Now with some much appreciated help from this excellant forum i'd sent a cca request to Connaught about 4 months ago who represented 1st credit blah blah, they were threatening to serve me with a stat demand. 2 days after they received the cca they sent me a letter telling me they've closed the file and all future correspondance to be with 1st credit. should i send lowell a letter like the one above or just a standard cca, any help please
  11. Ta very much:-) that's what i've been needing to hear:wink:
  12. YOU DON'T NEED TO APOLOGISE MATE, I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU TAKIN THE TIME OUT TO REPLY AND I NEVER PUT THAT IN MY LAST POST, SO I'M THE ONE WHO SHOULD BE APOLOGISING:-) SO YOU DON'T THINK I'VE MESSED UP THEN, BY NOT STATING I DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THIS DEBT ACROSS THE TOP OF MY CCA LETTERS:confused:
  13. THAT WAS CHRISD36 THAT WROTE THAT IN HIS POST, I LEFT MY STORY UNDER HIS QUOTE, THIS IS MY FIRST WRITTEN CORRESPONDANCE SINCE I STOPPED PAYING THE DEBT MANY MOONS AGO. WHICH TAKES ME BACK TO MY ORIGANAL POINT ABOVE, I'M STILL NONE THE WISER:confused: AND ANY HELP AT ALL WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THANKS:-)
  14. cheers for the reply:) Have i not acknowledged the debt now though on the cca request by not stating that i dont acknowledge the debt. Don't mean to waffle or repeat myself i'm just feeling a bit thrashed:confused: i just don't want them to throw it back in my face if i manage to to get to 11months 21days 32 minutes and 12 seconds = 6 years, not that i'm counting:lol:
