  1. Sure does Chris, thanks for the good advice,he even told the balliff that the levy on the guys car was invalid as he was not on the tenancy agreement that i gave him
  2. Hi Chris , Good result from the council ! The guy i seen went through everything phoned the balliffs while i was there and put the action on hold, after going through my case he agreed to give me another six months exemption and said he would contact me in due course with a new figure. I paid the guy £100 then and there to help cover any shortfall in the new figure,he gave me a reciept, and im hoping this will help keep the balliffs at bay,as i will carry on paying the council and not them.
  3. Think im gonna need one as big as yours hell, ha ha ! What a waste of paper,no wonder theres no rainforests !
  4. HI guys, Just popped home from work and found a letter from allied international saying that they had got my cca request but i had to contact them and arrange to "repay the part of the debt that i did acknowledge" ? Gonna file it in my new flip top fileing cabinet !
  5. HI Hopful 1, Thanks for your kind comments. The reason i went ahead with grabbing my debt problems by the scruff of the neck, was the evening after i had had the conversation with cccs. I had sat down ready to give in and go on the dmp that ccs had said i should when the phone rang. The guy on the other end asked for me(i thought it was work,as i run my own building firm) I said speaking, and he launched into a tirade about what they would do if i didnt pay the complete balance in seven days. Being a big burly rugby player,im not easily intimidated by verbal abuse so i let him rant on for a few minutes, and when he paused for breath,I slipped in "I bet your mum is over the moon that your doing so well in your new job".WHAT ? He bawled. I laughed ,which made his brain derail from the track it was on , causing him to gargle and choke, followed by the sound of his phone being smashed down in its cradle. Thats what made me go for it despite the advice given.I think we all need a push somtimes, and that idiot did it for me.
  6. Thanks for that Hopefull, Its funny since ive sent those ccas off all the phone calls have stopped ,and i had a very quick response from 1st credit saying the account was on hold until they recieve instructions fom the client !
  7. Hi chris Going to see the council today, and will let you know how it goes. many thanks for your input.
  8. Hi Chris If i send a sar who should i send it to and would this place the account in dispute and stop any inforcement until i can sort it out,the thing is,i put the account in my name when the first guy left left, then i applied to the council for the rebate, but they are still chasing this guy, sorry mate what a mess !
  9. Hi Chris, Just checked the notice and the sig is just a scrawl across the form. Also the girl at the council said that she would contact the baliffs to get them to hold off to give me time to get the forms back to them. What bothers me is that ive had nothing in writting from either the council or the county court
  10. HI Chris Thanks for your thoughts, spoke to the council this afternoon and they want another copy of the registration form and dates when the new tenants tenancy started.I have already done this when i applied for the rebate, somthing does not seem right ?
  11. Hi All, Got a small problem with a house i let out , and hope i can get a bit of advice. my old tenant moved out in feb07 and the house was empty for four months while it had a refurb ( iam a builder by trade).New tenants went in at the end of june 07,four of them, although the guy whos name the council tax was in, left after approx two weeks.during this time i had tried to claim a refund on my council tax for the period that the house was empty, registered my forms acopy of new tenancy agreement, and was told that they would be in touch.Never heard anything until yesterday when my tenant phoned to say that balliffs had posted a walking possession notice through his door with his car reg make and model on the form, although the name on the form was his brother, the lad that moved out after only a few weeks. My tenant did not sign this form it was just posted through the door with charges for £22.50 first visit and £45 levy fee I never had no notice from any court or the council to say that this was going to happen, and when my tenant phoned the balliffs to try to explain ,he recieved a torrant of abuse and demands for payment. Any thoughts on what to do guys ? your help is much appreciated.
  12. Thanks tonycee, Its funny but iam waiting for the postman to come with a sense of excitment rather than dread, just to see how they are going to try and wriggle out of refunding the charges. Will keep you all posted as and when.!
  13. Hi all, i have just started to reclaim my charges including ppi, with three of my credit cards, citi tesco, and co-op and also a burton store card. All have been sold to dca,s with the exeption of burton card that is still running. I have worked out the charges and ppi that i know i never agreed to going back six years , and it comes to a staggering £8,965.00 ive had high balances on my credit cards for years and always met the minimum payments, although now and again late, one tesco statements charges from sept 05 reads-late payment fee £25 cardholder protection plan £53 overlimit fee 20 in one month ! I have been speaking with cccs to help draw up some sort of repayment plan, and mentioned to the nice lady that i was thinking of sending cca,s to the dca,s and sar,s to the o creds and claim my money back. She was horrified and said i was just antagonising the dca,s , not to do it and just agree a payment plan and thats that ! Have i done the right thing ,? because i sent all the letters off today !!!!
