  1. Hi all have not posed in so long, so here it goes. We have been with GMAC RFC for 4 years in total, in 2007 -2008 i was out of work due to losing my job, through a disability, we struggled and nearly lost our home due to GMAC not helping us at all. At the time our mortgage was around £650 a month, this was a nightmare, they wanted this plus £50 arrears payment each month. Anyway the long and the short of it, was we went to court Jan 08 and basically had a very good judge who told GMAC we can pay the new monthly payment, which has dropped to £465 per month plus the £50 arrears. Then thank god i got a job in July last year, after having an operation and solving my disability nearly 100%. I am earning a good wage at the moment, but only on a 12mth contract, but thank god also we are on a intrest only variable rate with GMAC, and we have never been so well off, my mortgage is now at with arrears £260 a month.....we cannot believe how lucky we are:-D and realing in the fact that GMAC are probably gutted Anyway i was looking at our credit fire the other day...and found that our mortgage is showing that the last 6 months are arrears, and it looks like we have never paid the mortgage since 2007 :???: I have challeged Equifax and GMAC and as we are still owing 5 months mortgage payments from 2007-08 this will stand on the credit files....? We are devistated and confused, is this the case? can they really do this. All i got from GMAC was a letter a 6 year old could of written stating basically tough luck? can someone help with this? we are going to stay with the **** bags until the interest rate goes up again..or until i can sort out our credit file, as no one would touch us with a barge pole at the moment. any help would be appreciated p.s equifax we no help either saying they are governed by the companies?
  2. DO NOT GO WITH THESE MUPPETS IF YOU CAN HELP IT, the charges are huge we paid them around £11,000 and we cannot get a penny back
  3. I hate GMAC RFC, we have had hell with them, went to court a few weeks ago, and thanks to hells, on here we are ok, they do not want to know, Hubby just lost his job and i'm disabled the DWP and dole told us to ring GMAC asap to tell, them, we did and guess what they don;t give a s**T told us to pay, they are like the film goodfellas you know the when Henry is goning an about the mob "my wife has just died F**k you pay up" I have just been run over F**k You pay up, they are the mafia in disguise i swear, we are just strugglying on with these muppets and going in about 5 months Hopefully, we are out of our fixed term now thank god, so we are just trying to get by and get away from these idiots. We have calculated we owe them about £6,000 in charges and solicitors fees etc...what the hell is happening to this world?

  13. Hi all After using this site the past couple of days and realising what a huge help everyone is on here, i am asking for help again. Myself and hubby took out around 3 personal loans and 1 secured loan with HFC/Household, or what ever the hell they are called, between 2001 and 2005, eventually the secured loan nearly lost us our home in 2004-05, we borrowed about £8000 and ended paying back over £21,000 around 10 years early. PPI was single pre. the apr was nuts let alone how much we paid. Anyway we have been back and forth now asking for the money back for around 6 months, and we had a final response a few weeks ago saying no you were not mis-sold and you cannot have your money back, well we paid the loan years and years early for a start, we were hounded to take the PPI, even after telling the silly girl in cardiff branch that hubby had a serious back problem, she told us oh you'll be ok your covered, as long as you haven't got Cancer ot anything like that????????? yes that's what she said. They were ringing us about once a week in the last year we were with them, hounding us to borrow more, even though we could not make the lesser payments, anyway as i have said they are not playing, the last letter i sent them was in jan, they were taking ages getting back so i contacted the FOS, they had written to them asking them to conact us asap, inbetween this we got the final letter saying no, nope not a chance in hell are you having the money back, we have calculated it's around £8,000???? my god what a difference this could make to our lives? I want to write back and say sod off we want our money, but i am crap with words, to be honest, i just get really angry, start swearing and never get my point across, can someone help me please, if you need details let me know, please can someone help, if we get this money back we can pay off out mortgage arrears, and we will be free for once, thanks in advance
  14. thanks John it's mad how free you feel after it all, i feel like i could take on the world?

  18. Hi all Good news we ok, thanks you so much everyone, the judge was a nasty piece of work, i had been warned about him, he likes to let you know he's the boss sort of thing. Anyway the same solicitor from last time, the one with a lisp (think that's how you spell it) he is horrible, kept on and on and saying we had not paid in 12 months according to the arrears amount, but thank god the judge said "no, they have missed 4 months payments the rest are charges Mr ????" it was great, basically they have suspended with a review in 6 months, but were off from them by then i hope, we gonna crack down and keep paying and in about 3 months start looking for a new mortgage, we are so chuffed, we both cried when we got in the car! The tlt bloke kept on about my bills saying they were untrue, and i just kept on sying well you ring them and they will tell you how much they will accept, and the judge agreed, but then he laid into us, saying we have been irresponsible and we should know better from last time? fair enough he's right but when your earning what he is you can afford to say that. So we went shopping after food shop and only spent £43 chuffed to bits we normally spend more, but were on a tight budget now. Thank you so much Ell, i would not of done this with out you, thanks thanks and thanks again from all my family, not just me. When i get a bit of spare money i will be donating something to this wonderful site. I'll keep looking on her, and everyone in my situation, there is hope, listen to Ell, she's fab. Thanks all xxxxxxxx what a relief.....
