Hi all have not posed in so long, so here it goes. We have been with GMAC RFC for 4 years in total, in 2007 -2008 i was out of work due to losing my job, through a disability, we struggled and nearly lost our home due to GMAC not helping us at all. At the time our mortgage was around £650 a month, this was a nightmare, they wanted this plus £50 arrears payment each month. Anyway the long and the short of it, was we went to court Jan 08 and basically had a very good judge who told GMAC we can pay the new monthly payment, which has dropped to £465 per month plus the £50 arrears. Then thank god i got a job in July last year, after having an operation and solving my disability nearly 100%. I am earning a good wage at the moment, but only on a 12mth contract, but thank god also we are on a intrest only variable rate with GMAC, and we have never been so well off, my mortgage is now at with arrears £260 a month.....we cannot believe how lucky we are:-D and realing in the fact that GMAC are probably gutted Anyway i was looking at our credit fire the other day...and found that our mortgage is showing that the last 6 months are arrears, and it looks like we have never paid the mortgage since 2007 :???: I have challeged Equifax and GMAC and as we are still owing 5 months mortgage payments from 2007-08 this will stand on the credit files....? We are devistated and confused, is this the case? can they really do this. All i got from GMAC was a letter a 6 year old could of written stating basically tough luck? can someone help with this? we are going to stay with the **** bags until the interest rate goes up again..or until i can sort out our credit file, as no one would touch us with a barge pole at the moment. any help would be appreciated p.s equifax we no help either saying they are governed by the companies?

DO NOT GO WITH THESE MUPPETS IF YOU CAN HELP IT, the charges are huge we paid them around £11,000 and we cannot get a penny back -
I hate GMAC RFC, we have had hell with them, went to court a few weeks ago, and thanks to hells, on here we are ok, they do not want to know, Hubby just lost his job and i'm disabled the DWP and dole told us to ring GMAC asap to tell, them, we did and guess what they don;t give a s**T told us to pay, they are like the film goodfellas you know the when Henry is goning an about the mob "my wife has just died F**k you pay up" I have just been run over F**k You pay up, they are the mafia in disguise i swear, we are just strugglying on with these muppets and going in about 5 months Hopefully, we are out of our fixed term now thank god, so we are just trying to get by and get away from these idiots. We have calculated we owe them about £6,000 in charges and solicitors fees etc...what the hell is happening to this world?
