  1. yep still waiting, had a bad week with the kids so haven't been able to go to the next step. Got a brief fob off letter from them on Monday, telling me to read the leaflet that they sent me a few weeks ago. My worry is that now when I start action and add the 8% interest is that it will take my total now to over £5K, so I'm not sure what to do now, do I split my claim now even though I sent it to them as one IYKWIM? Thanks
  2. Quite impressed with the speed of their reply, got some interesting reading back so off to do some calculations
  3. well, no reply from second letter, so I guess it's he next stage for me. Will need to check that I've claimed for the correct bits and proceed to the next stage. Must look for a court buddy now
  4. thanks, I've sent them the letter from motely fool but had no reply, not sure if I sent it to the right person but will request a copy of the form as I don't remember eve agreeing to it, it's just getting it to the right dept Thanks very much for your reply
  5. thanks, not entirely sure what they have done with my £10 as its not beedn cashed yet and its not been credited to my account either
  6. pretty much what a couple of other guys have said that because they are stored on microfiche in date order, not on a computer system or structered filing system !
  7. Hi got my response from my Data Protection Act request, only got a years worth of statements as they said statements prior to May 2004 are not available unless I pay 3 per statement as they are not covered by the DPA act of 1998. I've worked out that they owe me £360 from the years that they sent me, not sure how long I've had my account with them will call and ask and I guess estimate the rest
  8. is it, sorry got confused thought it had to be under £4k not sure where I read that. Can't do any reading as the children are at home today so will have to wait
  9. oh poopie, I spilt my claims as total for 6 years was over £5K, but calculated incorrectly and put a claim in for over £4K. Cant believe I've done that as I had everything to had when I prepared my letter etc. Not sure how to play it now. Will put the claim in for the smaller amount. Will have to think how to play the current claim, I could sned a revised claim in I guess, saying further to my letter of.......... going now to hit head against brick wall and pray that a cheque is sent for amount .. read and re-read check and double check from now on
  10. received a standard fob off letter today, saying that they will look into "the matter " Second request for payment went on Tuesday so they have 14 days the customer relations manager is supposedly going to reply. Hmmmm Second claim going in tomorrow as I had to split my claim due to the amount.
  11. Thanks I thought so just being extra cautious, I very much doubt the post will bring good news tomorrow, so will prepare letter to send tomorrow. First was sent recorded delivery.
  12. no reply yet to my 14 day notice, I think tomorrow is the 14th day, next step in plan then :o is is 14 calander days or workig days? I'm assuming calander
  13. hi, not sure if this is the right place, but I have a loan with NR and it has PPI I'm not sure that I requested it but rang and asked for it to be cancelled, they said no, so I sent a letter requesting that it be cancelled, I have not heard from them and it has been 2 weeks now. How can I pursue this with them? Does anyone have a template letter ? I think I will write and ask for proof , which I should have done first, could I use the DPA request letter and amend? Thanks
  14. got an acknowledgement letter from them today ! No details yet.
  15. Sent off my DPA today 40 days and counting. Looking forward to the challenge. Fingers crossed
  16. Thanks, found another thread which said the same, I keep reading but missing vital bits. Will do a whole host more reading tomorrow. Have listed as they have listed and split my claim and am sending tomorrow 1st class recorded. Now plan to check CC, as far as I can see the DPA letter is the same as the bank template in the library.
  17. Thanks. Read a few other threads, tricky as the kids don't quite understand why they need to be quiet etc. I've used the spreadsheet from the library and entered through my statements, however my statements only say "Charges as Notified". Can't see any mention in some of the threads I've read to see if that is acceptable. I'm also going to have to split my claim as I am over £5k. Will send my letter recorded with breakdown spreadsheet as it is tomorrow.
  18. Well, the Halifax made me laugh today, I got a very speedy response from my DPA request, less then 40 days, got loads of statements posted through my letterbox this morning. Just re-reading all the info and printing off advice and copies of letters and just downloaded the spreadsheet. Hope to have a figure and be ready to post my claim off for Monday. Very scary at how quick they replied. I've already got a new bank account sorted so am ready to trawl through statements. Feeling excited and hopeful.
  19. sorry meant 40, I am still reading the faqs, will print and read in bed methinks
  20. Hi all, after calculating last months fees decided to go for this, I've just done the DPA letter and am thinking of sending it recorded. So I guess 30 days and counting.
