  1. Great success, money returned by Lending Stream. Phone up and ask to speak to a manager. Mention the FSA regulations and court action, they will soon give in. Money was back to me within 2 hours. Now I have to tackle the bank regarding the charges. Dont give up!
  2. Hello all, Small update. I have been in touch with Lending Stream who advised I should contact the bank to reverse the payment. I contacted Lloyds who said there was nothing could be done even from a cancelled card, as I previously given authority for Lending Stream to take payments. The bank gave me a number for their card dispute team who said the same and I should take the matter up with Lending Stream. I put 4 points to them. 1: OFT regulations if im reading them right mean that Lending Stream must give me advance notice of any amounts they are taking. 2: This is an old expired, lost cancelled card. 3: There was no were near enough money to cover the payments. 4: This is only affecting Lloyds customers I then contacted Trading Standards (consumer direct), who advised that I need to write to the FSA. I am now over £400 overdrawn, cannot pay any bills and am literally stuck between a rock and hardplace. Any further advice would be appreciated. Thanks Adam
  3. Thanks for the email address, I have just sent one off and i'll keep you updated. Thanks Adam
  4. Hi Dotty Sorry for the confusion, I get paid weekly in to this account. However I have had to make alternative arrangements with work until this is sorted, as I cannot afford for the whole amount to be swallowed up by the bank.
  5. Hi Guys Thanks for the replies, some really useful advice. Im still struggling to understand how Lloyds allowed this to happen and im really worried because it means my car finance, car insurance and broadband direct debits cannot be paid. Which will lead to more charges etc.
  6. Hi Dotty, I don't think that applied because it was my old card number they raided not a direct debit. I might have read it wrong though. The card they took it off was reported lost in July.
  7. Hi, Thanks so much for replying, Lloyds said that because I have already authorised them to take payments, I have to take it up with them and they are not responsible, even from a "cancelled" card.
  8. I too have been hit with this today. Some advice would be really appreciated. They hit me for two amounts of £25 and £390ish, I do not have an overdraft and had only £27 in the account. There is no way I can afford to pay this at the moment, and lending stream were aware I was not in a position to pay. I went to see the bank this morning who basically told me there was nothing could be done. This has the potential to ruin my Christmas. I note also that they took the money from a card that was reported lost in July, but Lloyds still allowed it, im really worried here, please help.
