Usefulness of credit agencies
annfrench1967 replied to annfrench1967's topic in Data Protection and Default Issues
Seems I am not the only one who is having problems with them. I must admit the letters have increased and I am also getting them from McKenzie Hall and Cabot, so it seems they are very much in cahoots. Thanks for this. -
Usefulness of credit agencies

Hi, I have access to my report on experion, but I have to admit it is not useful at all, debts which I am being chased for no longer appear so cannot check what they are and who they are from and any history. I wrote to experion and asked for copies of the credit reports for the end's ending 2003 - 2006 so I could look through them and find out the relevant information. They do not keep them or cannot get access to them?? I would of thought they would have to keep records for the last 6 years. The email you receive from them when something changes is less than useful, it says there have been a change on your account, but the problem is it doesn't tell you what the change is - even when you log in it is really no clear what has changed - it needs to show you the before and after. Anyone else have problems with information no longer available on credit reports but are being chased for debts??

Hi all This is my first time posting on here but it is interesting to note the feedback against Cabot. I have received numerous letters from them, even proving via my credit account, cheques cashed etc. that the accounts have been paid but they just ignore you. Also a debt went from £496 to £4496 in a week!! Have tried various organisations, DPA, OFT etc. but to be honest they are useless. HAve even sent the DPA the data number and all the relevant letters, they are due for re-registration in May 08, but to no avail. It does surprise me still that these people are allowed to carry on with a less than competent business ethics. Well done to those who have challenged them.
