  1. They haven't, but then I haven't asked... If I didn't own my own home, or there was no equity in it, I'd be going down that route myself, as there would be nothing to loose. However, as it stands I can't risk it. They say the petition papers are being drawn up now - they might be bluffing, but then again they might not. As I can see it my only hope is to pay them off - I'm praying that relatives step in (I so hate having to ask them). Oddly, the CCCS say they would OK that - yet they wouldn't agree to £13 extra to MBNA a month Can't quite believe all this is happening after having them (the CCCS) reassure me for months that all would be well so long as I made regular payments through them. Good luck with your case - I hope you can find a technicality or something that swings in your favour.
  2. I have managed to speak to them and also Marlin who do most of their dirty work. They know they've got me good and proper and wont budge. The CCCS actually do very little once a DMP has ben drawn up to thier satisfaction. They confess that companies frequently take thier customers to court and said not to worry - until I pointed out Ihave equity in my home. Oh dear, you've got your own home they said The problem is they treat each case the same regardless of the creditors involved and regarless if you rent or own. Surely they must be aware that the American companies work to different rules and require the debt to be cleared in less years. They act diferently for the banks (overdrafts) so why not for them? I have no idea what to do now - the CCCS can and are doing nothing.
  3. I've also got bother with Arrow. They actually market themselves to companies with 'customers' on DMPs with the CCCS! If you are a home owner with equity they will threaten bankruptcy - or at least that's what they've doen with me. They will not negotiate any less than 100% full and final settlement. Their minimum monthly payment offer was more than my total DMP payment set up with the CCCS - plus they wanted it secured on the house! The CCCs have been pretty usless. MONTHS ago, before the debt was sold to Arrow, the original lender (MBNA) asked for £13 a month more than the CCCS pro rata DMP allowed. However, they just send out the same old SOA / pro rata DMP offer knowing full well that MBNA just wont have it. If you are a home owner this a dangerous move. Now, because of the CCCS's inflexibility, my home is at risk. They should wake up to the reality and accept that home owners have different needs. Had the DMP been shuffled slightly in MBNA's favour all would have been well.
  4. The CCCS are aware of the situation, and have passed details of the DMP to Arrow (who are being represented by marlin Financial Services) but having been contacted a number of times kept saying not to worry, and that they might take us to court to get a CCJ. In fact even when MBNA said they would sell the debt on, they seemed rather relaxed. However, today I spoke to them (CCCS) and mentioned that Arrow (via Marlin) were threatening bankrupcty. They again seemed uncornerned, but said that perhaps the bnkruptcy might be for the best. When I asked about the house, they then raised some concern, but didn't offer any help. Having looked up Arrow on the net, it appears that Arrow are directly targetting CCCS clients for the banks, promising better and speedier returns, yet CCCS seem to still offer standard advice when dealing with them. On a further issue, Marlin, representing Arrow claim that they cannot negotiate on the debt at all, wanting full payment, as they don't own the debt, yet I am not supposed to contact Arrow directly either. In fact, I can't find a way to contact Arrow, as the only number that I can find appears to be one for companies to sell debts to them.
  5. Does anyone have a contact phone number for Arrow Global? Marlin won't give me one, yet say they can't negotiate my dept (originally with MBNA) as they don't own it. They (Arrow) say according to my file I'm going to be petitioned for bankruptcy! I've been on a payment plan with the CCCS for nearly 6 months too. I guess they've twigged as a home owner I might be worth the hassle.
