Bank of Scotland claim from England**WON**
MarkG2 replied to MarkG2's topic in Halifax and IF successes
Just to tie of this thread; HBOS initially said they would contest this claim and then, after a couple of weeks, wrote to me saying they were settling my claim, paying the court fee but 'not admitting liability'. They also enclosed a very helpful leaflet on 'how to manage your account'. Good luck to everyone else still trying to claim back their money. Don't be discouraged, don't be put off, make your claim no matter how trifling; the only way the to prevent the banks larcenous practices is to make them suffer financially. -
Bank of Scotland claim from England**WON**
MarkG2 replied to MarkG2's topic in Halifax and IF successes
If you're issuing a claim through the small courts (via Money Claim Online : Her Majesty's Courts Service ) or in person, you must supply an address in England or Wales for yourself and the defendant. But there is a limit on the amount, so you might need a different means. Have a look at that web-site, it details the process and limits on the claims you can make. -
Folks I originally appended this query on an existing thread, so forgive the repetition. I'm trying to claim back business account charges from Bank of Scotland using the small claims court. To do so, I must supply an address for Bank of Scotland in England. I cannot find this anywhere and the Bank will not (surprise, surprise) supply anything other than the Scotland HQ address. So: a) does anyone have an address they've used for a claim in England, or b) does anyone know if it is enough to supply a Halifax HQ address as a 'care-of' address for the Bank of Scotland? Cheers Mark
