Well due to a cock up with A&L my cheques have only just cleared. So tomorrow I will be sending MBNA another letter to reclaim the missing amounts. Also, i'm in the position to donate some money to this forum for all the help and advice i've recieved. Can anyone let me know how to do this? Regards Rob

Lol, I really don't know. I think i'll give them a call tomorrow to see what they're playing at. Rob

Hi Goldlady, There is no remaining balance, it was showing as £0 a few days back. Cheers Rob
-
Hi again guys, Money still hasn't cleared yet. But I need a bit of advice. About a week after they issued the refunds, they have added an interest charge onto both accounts, totalling around £120. Is this right? Can thay do this or are they trying to pull a fast one? Regards Rob
-
Cheques arrived today, will bank tomorrow. Once they're cleared I will be on their case again:D
-
Ok, thanks Goldlady. I think i'll wait:D
-
Ok, thanks Goldlady. Do you think I should send it straight away, or should I wait for the cheques to arrive and clear?
-
Ok, this is the letter i'm going to send. Could someone give it a quick read through and let me know of any changes I should make, or if it sounds ok? regards Rob
-
Cheers guys, I think i will go for the rest too, it is another £1400 after all. I take it the standard "I will accept this as part payment...etc...ect" letter will be ok for this? Cheers Rob

Hi guys back again. Some good news finally. Today I recieved letters to say that they have arranged further goodwill payments of £3039.98 and £2860.77 respectively. So this works out to a total payment of £7414.75. Now while i'm happy about these payments, it still falls some way short of the £8876.92 I had originally claimed. So what i'm asking is, do you think I should persue them for the rest, or should I just let it go? Regards Rob P.S. Donation on it's way once cheques have arrived and cleared:D

Thanks steven, i'll do that now.

One more thing, when I take this to court stage, should I use the N1 form and send it to the local court, or should I use MCOL. And what sort of charges should I expect to pay for each case? As I don't have a great deal of spare money at the moment. Regards Rob

Ok guys, i'm back again. Today I responses for both my accounts stating that they will pay me a goodwill payment of £782 and £738 respectively. Obviously, i'm only going to accept this as part payment. But is there a template letter that I can send to them to state this? Regards Rob

Cheers citizenB, but i've got that address, i wondered if anybody had an e-mail address? Cheers Rob
-
Ok, cheer BRW I wont call them. No letters today, and today is deadline day. Does anyone know the e-mail address for the Customer Advocate Office Manager? Regards Rob
-
Well thats what I thought, but I was calculating my interest wrong. So after taking steven4064's advice, it turns out they would actually owe me nearly £3000 after I had cleared my balances. I think what i'm going to do is give them a call tomorrow if I don't recieve anything. As i can't afford the court fees until the end of the month anyway. Regards Rob

Hi Guys, A bit of advice needed, but first i'll bring you up to date on proceedings: 10 days after I sent out both LBA's i recieved replies from MBNA stating that they are investigating my complaint and will provide me with a full response by April 15th 2008 on both accounts. Now I know I should have only given them 14 days for the full response, but I thought i'd give them the benefit of the doubt. So, as tomorrow is the 15th, and I have still had no response, providing I don't get one tomorrow I'm ready to move onto the next step. Would you advise me to go straight to court proceedings, or should I send them off a letter first or even phone them tomorrow to enquire why I've had no response? Regards Rob
-
Well, both LBA's were sent yesterday via recorded delivery, so they should recieve them today. Regards Rob
-
Thanks for that BRW, I will be claiming at the full whack interest rate, as thats the latest one they have been charging me. Regards Rob
-
Hi Steven, I have 2 MBNA credit cards, one claim including interest is for £4246.90, and the second one is for £4630.02. Will this make a difference? Regards Rob
-
Ok thanks Steven. Sorry, I wasn't meaning to question your method, I just wanted to make sure I got everything correct. Regards Rob
-
34.94%? are you sure? I worked I out by 2.5292% x 12 months = 30.3504% Regards Rob
-
WOW I thought i'd messed it up somehow. Now i'm gonna have some to spare:D Rob
-
Thanks again Steven, Just one more question, promise. My monthly interest rate is 2.5292% which I worked out to be 30.3504% APR. So I put this into the spreadsheet and it worked out like this: Total charge amounts = £1766 Interest@ 30.35% = £2348.24 Total claim = £4114.24 The interest is more than the charge itself, does this sound right to you? Regards Rob
