  1. Hi No it doesnt.. They are obviously trying to bully you if they are legally entitled to it then why havent they taken you 2 court? You could always contact the court and explain you have paid but you are still being harassed and see what they can do..
  2. Hi The loverly rossendales (NOT) Firstly you can ask the council to take back the debt but dont expect them 2, Secondly dont let them in and make sure doors and windows r locked, if how ever u have already signed anything then they can enter your property.. I know from experience its a nightmare making sure doors r locked but its worth it, i would also say instead of answering door use window. If you have a card to pay your c/t at a paypoint then pay wot u can afford each week, Lastly dont worry 2 much about the threats about charges cos they will end up passing the debt back to council. and as you will be making payments they should be happy enough, Its a very stressful time i know (going through it myself) but its worth it knowing they havent suceeded.. they r bullies and very intimidating.. PS. If they come and use unreasonable force to get in then call the police as it is illegal.. Hope this helps and good luck PPS Its the council who use rossendales not the court so if u dont pay them then theres not alot they can do regarding charges.
  3. Hi I also went down this path with w...... (carnt even type it)lol After doing every thing i needed to do regarding returning the car i was disgusted to recieve a letter saying i still owed over £1000, I read the small print over and over again and couldnt see why i had to pay, i rang w...... and asked if some one could explain why i owed money, they couldnt tell me after months of phone calls and letters i found out the problem i had taken out optional insurance when getting the car and this is where the money came from.. Also there were marks on the car when we got it and a missing key but they had the bare faced cheek to say i owed £170 for repairs:eek: i consulted my solicitor and he said shouldnt pay it and when they demand it simply say "i can swear on the bible in a court of law that them faults where there when i got the car". I was shocked to discover that they planned to bill me for the repairs when in fact the car ends up at auction!!!!! I could go on for another hour or so lol but i wont all im saying is dont be surprised if you have further probs....
  4. ty for the nice welcome shaz.. Unfortunatley i already jumped in before u replied But off now like a good girl to read
  5. Hi Im having probs with the loverly welcome also grrrrr... after a so called inspection i recieved a letter saying i owed money for repairs, also like you i explained they were there when we got it, but guess wot??? they didnt care, A week later some guy came to collect it and i got talking to him he said he delt with alot of welcomes unhappy customers lol.. when i mentioned the repairs he laughed i was intrigued by this but he said carnt say... but he hinted very heavly to read the paper he had left me.. I descovered the car was infact going onto an auction... cheeky fookers!!! I consulted a solicitor who said:- I should defend the charges as they were there before and i would be willing to swear on oath in court that they were there when i got it, and of course welcome couldnt say the same cos they wasnt there lol.. He also said seen as the car was going to auction and they didnt bother repairing them they couldnt charge me for repairs lol Still having probs with them but im smilling as they took me to court and never bothered to turn up so the judge threw it straight out lollol (you watch i bet i get a letter in post in the next couple of days)
