  2. Was from comet but they have been taken of the website now. I recieved a purchase reciept but the only reference to any link was this If you require information about Comet Services, click here Comet Services | Comet advice Nothing else in the purchase reciept.
  3. Basically bought a 2 fridges on a high steet retailers website advertised @ a £1 + £19.99 delivery. They sent me an email stating a delivery date, just checked and they debited my bank account for said amount. Just curious if we now have a contract or they have the right to withdraw from our agreement if they decide they priced it incorrectly and wanted to backout of selling them ? cheers in advance
  4. I recently took up an offer on quidco regarding Virgin trains. The deal stipulated that every tick purchased would result in £5 cash being generated in your quidco account. So over the xmas period I decided to use the train instead of driving purely on the basis of this offer. Rather cheekily the cost of the tickets was £5 so infact buying them and getting the cash back would result in the tickets becoming free. Ideal way of trying it out for the 2 weeks and a perfect incentive to see if it was worth my while doing it this way. So I bought them and they have arrived. Now here lies the problem, Quidco did in fact credit my account for each of the tickets purchased over that period with £5 per ticket. The tickets arrived and that was that, so I thought. Upon looking @ Quidco I find them have rescinded the previous offer and nullified all the earnings from this offer. Now putting me out of pocket of £50 for the tickets. The reason I purchased these tickets was because of the offer, now knowing the offer wasnt going to be upheld or honored I would have been reluctant to use this method of transport and feel slightly cheated into buying the tickets. If there not honoring there end of the offer then what would be my options in regard to getting a refund as the only reason I purchased the tickets was because of the offer. (btw on Virgins website they state that if you want a refund you have to pay a fee of £10 per ticket) Cheers in advance
  5. I ordered a Nintendo wii on the 22nd November from Littlewoods Direct Recieved an email Estimated delivery by Tue 11th December. contacted them a week later and was told over the phone my delivery date would be the 10th December. Noticed my credit card had the £209.60 debitted on the 3rd December for the item. It's now the 11th and had no delivery i phoned them and was told they dont have any in stock and not sure if they have any in stock before xmas. They have offered to refund my cash if i cancel my order or can continue to wait on the hopes that some may come in stock, but since the prices have risen on Nintendo wii's im stuck for finding one @ that price. Would i be able to buy the same package from elsewhere and claim the difference from littlewoods or is my best bet getting the cash back and having to pay extra for the same package i was promised and charged for by littlewoods ?
  6. go ahead .. i had 3 of mine stayed yet 3 weeks after they inform me that they were stayed they sent me a letter settling on one of them. Strange but true
  7. Are Credit cards Excempt from the Stay ? Had 3 of my cases 'stayed' waiting for the outcome of the test case. Then read that its apparently only applicable to bank charges not credit cards. One of the claims was from a bank and the other 2 were from BarclayCard. ( Mine & GF ) So i contact my Local court via phone and ask about it and they said (Stoke on trent court) " Judge Schroeder has stayed all cases pending the test case" i did reiterate that the test case was for current account holders and has nothing to do with Credit Cards but he said " Its the policy of this court to stay ALL bank charges claims at the moment " So have i any other choice than to wait ?
  8. Yeah i assumed as much but just wanted that anonymous backup. Strange isnt it when pixels from someone u dont know gives u reassurance. Thnxs again , ill hold on
  9. Got to the stage of attending court for a pliminary hearing then 2 days before had a letter which had effectively stayed my case untill the test case so i appealed against it using the template supplied *Thnxs* Recieved a letter I have 3 court cases which were due to be heard that month all of which i have recieved the same subsequent letter. I recieved £750 settlement from Capitol One which i put aside for such circumstances but would it be worth throwing £195 (For the 3 cases) to get the cases rolling again or would i be better waiting now for the test case? Unsure with the obvious subtle letter aimed at dissuading me. Insult to injury they announced we will be made redundant within the next 12/18 months. Would this be helpfull in pursuading a hardship case As the only working adult in a family of four i have this predicament and unsure which way to proceed or not. Any help much appreciated.
  10. 08/09/2007 Date Of Purchase via internet 12/09/2007 Arrived 15/09/2007 Noticed the fault an requested a RMA number 18/09/2007 recieved Email containing RMA number 24/09/2007 Sent via Recorded Delivery 08/10/2007 Recieved Email acknowledging Reciept
  11. I bought 2 DVDPlayers from Pixmania.co.uk for the kids , on recieving them i set them up in there rooms and burnt a couple home movies they made with the camcorder. They were DivX files which as stated on the manual should work perfectly fine. It does on one and not the other so i contacted PixMania via there online RMA returns and was allocated an RMA number then sent the item on 24/09/2007 via recorded delivery its now 08/10/2007 and i recieve an email today saying.... Is there anything i can do ? Im quite happy to recieve a replacment but im not content after waiting 14 days for a acknowledgement of reciept to wait a further 40 days for them to send it to be tested. The Players themselves cost only £14.00 and P&P to return was £8. Frustratingly aggravated.
