This is the letter I was looking for: Dear Claim Number 7XX00000 You have not filed a defence for claim number 7XX00000 at (Town) County Court, and the time to file a defence has now passed and judgement in default has been/will be granted. I am writing to give you one final opportunity to make full payment of £000.00 If I have not received payment in full by 4pm (date - 7 days from date of this letter) I will file for Judgment in Default/apply for a warrant of execution. Yours sincerely I hope I won't need it and that halifax will pay up soon, they have acknowledged my claim and now have until the 23rd June to defend.

I know that somewhere on this forum there is a template letter to use if the halifax acknowledge the claim but then do not issue a defence. I want to have this letter ready in case I have to do this but can't seem to find it anywhere, as I think it may come to that and I don't really want to do the judgement thing unless I have to. So if anyone has a link to the letter can you please post it for me as I have searched and can't find it. Thanks

Congratulations. my daughters claim was acknowledged on the 30th. so hope hers will go in soon.

robdarich, can I ask if Halifax acknowledged your claim (so they get another 14 days) or did they jusy pay up please?

Did they not tell you that they were going to settle? What I mean is did they just go and credit your account?
