  1. hi, is there anybody who has got their claim won through the FOS? i recently took ABBEY to the FOS for £4670 in charges. just waiting for them to send a letter off to the bank which they should be recieving either this week or next week. just wanting advise on how long it took through them, and any other advise about the FOS!!!
  2. hi, that seems to be a long time if it started in feb. the FOS said it wouldnt take 6-9 months when i phoned them, thats a maximum timescale. but i asked if he had an average timescale and he said he couldnt put a time to it, it depends on the bank. i might stick with the FOS it doesnt cost anything. still unsure yet though.
  3. hi, i am getting extremely frustrated with abbey!!! i have gone down the usual route to claim back £4670, sent all letters and i am now at the FOS stage. i have sent in my claim form and recieved a letter back stating they are dealing with my case. it says in the procedures that it may take 6-9 months but i phoned them and they said it probably wont take that long. does anyone know on average how long it takes? do the FOS have time scales for banks to reply to their letters?would it be quicker to go through the courts or should i just stick with the FOS? this whole thing started 26/2/07.
  4. hello to all im new to this forum!!! well where do i begin???? i did all the relevent letters along with a few phone calls, (my claim is for £4670) back in february. they have not been helpful whatsoever and i feel they are bullies and are very intimidating. as u have probably gathered i havent got very far with them!!! last month they refunded me just £625 which wasnt good enough!!!! so i decided to take it to the financial ombudsman. i was told that they take quite a long time in dealing with cases, so i have decided to take it to MCOL. just wondering what information do i need to provide in court ( eg statements, letters sent)? i am a bit nervous about attending court, but i know i have to, to get my money back?
