  1. hi I have waited over 40 days for my duplicate bank statements, and have sent me first request letter for a full refund. Apparently, my complaint is being looked into, but no statements. I will be sending my letter before action tomorrow via recorded deliv. I didnt understand faqs 100% about what I need to send the bank regarding breech of the Data p.a I want to send this letter b4 action, but I as I havnt got any details concerning all the charges applied to my account or the whole amount owed to me,I only have a estimated amount. Am I still able to send the letter Can someone give me some suggests thanks in advance

HI I have just read on another post regarding a bank stateing that the fact a charge occured from having insuffiecnent funds to cover d.debit cheques that werent able to clear etc, is the fault and responsability of the person holding the account. Does anyone know if this holds up in court, as it sounds to me it would do. I have started a claim, no date yet, but I am worried that the bank will try this as their defence. would appreciate any suggest or info Thanks in advance
  4. Hi Just a quick question, I was away for a few months a while ago and everytime I withdrew money useing my debit card I was charged 1.50 As a service charge fee, This was an automated charge Can anyone tell me if I am able to be greedy and apply for these charges back???? Thanks in advance
  5. I didnt understand what the letter meant, what does that mean no manual intervention? Ok from what I do understand, all charges made onto my account were done automatically through their system... Isnt that obvious? and on the odd occasion they Can manually cancel a charge But i already know that, So why would they feel the need to state that as a fact, and the only fact in their letter with no mention of looking into the situation ? Thanks for your suggestions but it seems that if anyone on here is slightly confused, advisors get the hump, I thought this site is here to support people not give them a telling off for not getting the correcct answer. Sorry if this seems abit harsh but its not the first time I have seen hasty comments from someone giving advice or info. I do understand that it is important to get all the facts straight of course, it is my money not any body elses, hence, why I want to make sure i understand everything instead of just reading and not really understanding the facts given Thanks anyway
  6. Hi Was hoping someone can give me some information. Requested and recieved statements, But in the process I had sent the premilery letter as I was getting nowhere with recieving the duplicate bank statements. Have now a recieved letter stateing "In regards to my enquiry about manual intervention on my account, bank charges are automatic and no manual intervention takes place" Can anyone tell me if it seems like Haifax are trying to confuse the situation by any chance ?? what do I need to do next? I take it I might need a template to edit and send with the actual amount that I have been charged, to Halifax to notify them that I will now be taking this to court Not too sure of the next step I need to take Would appreciate any suggests...
  7. Is anyone being charged by companies, such as s*y, for not paying by Direct debit ?????? By Not paying by Direct debit has saved me at least a poss 200 gbp in bank charges over the last 2 years, but has cost me 96 Gbp instead, due to the charges for NOT paying by Direct debit...!!!! 4.00 for an invoice, Tut tut, must be hard work all that printing they have to do
