I am just so angry that she was obviously waiting at the car the whole time and when my boyfriend came out just as she was printing the ticket, to explain he is getting a ticket, she just shrugged him off. Surely they need to give you more time for loading, well more than 5 minutes?

Hey, I have been reading the comments posted about parking fines and have checked my ticket for any flaws. The only flaw I can see is the fact that instead of Date of Issue, it says Date of Notice. Does this still make it unenforceable? This is about 6th parking fine in 8 months!! The attendant clocked the car at 0933 and then waited 5 minutes to issue the fine. The zone is a residential 0930-1730 area pay & display with a no return in 4 hours. PLUS the parking has gone up 60 pence per hour, making it a wapping £1.80 to park for 1 hour! Please advise!

Hey, that's ok. They have charged me £40 for the late payment of my Gym membership (monthly £59.00). But the bigger picture is, I cancelled my membership in January/February, moved house. When I went back to where I used to live, I had three letters from them demanding payment. I wrote to them to no avail. Then a debt collection agency contacted me and is now threatning to take me to court. I have had to pay 50% of the amount to stop them from doing this. According to LA Fitness, because I can not provide them with a cancellation number and I was told I don't need to put it in writing, they won't acknowledge the cancellation. So, I don't have a leg to stand on because of that. I just don't understand the £40 late payment - how does 3 letters amount to £40. Ontop of that, why the hell did they never call me. My mobile number has not changed for 5 years. Thats how the debt collection agency got hold of me. Anyway, sorry this isn't really your field.

Hey, I am new to this so hope I am doing this right, I have already posted a comment in the wrong section - whoops! I have been charged £40 for late payment by LA Fitness (and it wasn't even my fault), now a debt collection agency is chasing me for a final payment and late payment charge. I have written to them but have received bugger all response!! I have had to pay the agency half of what they want because they were threatening to take me to court. Any ideas what my legal stand point is........I am lost and sick of companies and banks just taking over your finances! Please help
