Hi, I complained to the Financial Ombudsman after Nationwide decided to defend the claim, and they settled in full (including interest & court costs) within 2 weeks. Try the Ombudsman (search for the address on the web) as it seemed to speed things up for me. Good luck

Hi, I got the same letter, but I had already moved my account to the Alliance & Leicester, so they can shove it. If in doubt, move your account. Check out moneysavingexpert.co.uk for the best current accounts today. Good luck.

Hi Guys, Just got my MCOL letter saying that NBS will be defending "all of the claim". Deep joy. Cut-off date is now 30 May, so have to wait and start putting a court bundle together! Thinking of calling the CEO of NBS as a witness, just answer some questions. Anyone think of anything I need to do or find out specifically? Nice result by the way OZZ! Hope you didn't drink it ALL!

Hi, Did they say that they were going to defend the claim in court, because that's what they've told me - they have instructed a solicitor as well. Is this normal?? mrsid:-(
