thanks a lot mate for your quick reply , but honestly do i have to go through all this after paying so much money ! i have been to the garage this morning and they have already suggested some thing else to do with a petrol sensor !, the thing is i have never had all these problemes with this car ! this is a fine car ,all these are coming after they did the head gasget !

hi every one again ! Thanks a lot for all your advice on this garage issue ,i have tried to find a way through this but i could "nt , i ended up paying for the sensor they claimed was burnt and i collected the car as i needed it for work. Amaizinly the car has developed other problems whilist driving it cuts or jacks as if they is a fuel problems and once the engine is hot the car will not start or will misfire befor it start ,i think the garage has has done something wrong to my car and im afraid if i take it to them they will come up with something else to get money out of me again . HOW DO I SOLVE THIS NOW ANY HELP !

GARAGE WASTED MY TIME AND LIED TO ME MANY TIMES WHEN I ASKED THE PROGRESS ON THE REPAIRS( EG) 1)THEY TOLD ME THE WARRANTY COMPANY WAS TAKING A LONG TIME TO RESPOND WHEN THEY DID NOT EVEN RING THEM FOR A MONTH ! SO MY CAR WAS JUST PARKED THERE . 2)ACCORDING TO THE WARRANTY COMPANY i was to pay an extra £150 topping up what they paid but the garage came up with claims of a leaking rediator and i ended up paying an extra £450 . Now within 2 weeks the car started cutting out in the middle of the road and stopping completly.i ve taken the car to them on 31 march and today is the 4th april im being told a story every day, i ve actually been told of another bill of £245 for a cambelt sensor which i believe they missed when they were replacing the belt ,they should have picked it up b4 they gave the car to me in the first place! Can any one help !! im not even being told when im going to get my car back ! my job is all to do with a car ,without a car im grounded . im so stressed!

AUDI HEAD GASKET (dIAGNOSTIC TEST) DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY IDEA, WHEN A HEAD GASKET IS BEING DONE ON THIS CAR AND THE CAMBELT SENSOR IS FAULTY ,IS IT NOT SOMETHING TO BE PICKEKED UP BY WHO EVER IS FIXING THE CAR ? HELP COZ THE GARRAGE IS CHARGING ME AGAIN AFTER HAVING FIXED MY CAR AND TOLD ME ALL WAS FINE BUT CAR BROKE DOWN WTHIN A WEEK ,NOW THEY ARE SAYING SENSOR WAS CAUSED BY HEAD GASKET!!

I think this is a nation wide probleme ,we have this kind of problem in the North as well (LEEDS) garages takes advantages of people"s honest and trust epecially where a warranty company is involved.

I have an Audi A3 1.6 S REG 1998,i ve had it for 9 months now .I n feb 2008 i noticed that the car was mixing water and oil (Head gasket problem i beleive) When i bought the car i also included a policy called Mechenical Breakdown insurace claim which cover certain things includind the head gasket,i then phoned the insurance company without delay . The insurance company asked me to take the car to a garage of my choice and link it with them so that they can get the invoice of the repairs,i then found a garage called Bosch car services in leeds and gave them all the details. After about 2 weeks not hearing from the garage i decide to ring them and the Manager told me the insurance had said they could only cover up to £500 and they were not covering other things like oil e.t.c though the car is worth over £5000, anywere i asked him what was i to pay for the service and he said £150 which i agreed to. After about another week i phoned the garage for a follow up as i had realized that they never phone me for anything and was told the manager was on sick leave but they were also waiting for a go ahead from the insurance company . I was beggining to loose my patience so i rang again the followin day and the Manager was in ,so he said all was done but they discovered that the rediator was leaking thats why i had a gasket problem and is not covered in the policy. thus i was chaged another £224 ,i was getting really desperate by then as i needed the car for my work so i asked him to just do it.by then ! it was a month the car still at garage. They then rang me the following day to collect the car ,surprisingly i was given a bill of about £436 plus the £500 which was paid by the insurance,but the invoice was not showing any details of what was done on the car.When i asked (THE MANAGER)He said everything has been done including the service and details of the work done will be posted. I then took the car but on my second day i noticed something wrong with the car but ignored by saying ,maybe its because the car was parked for a long time. But then after about 2 weeks the car started just cutting off in the middle of the road and would not start for about 20-25min .WHEN it did that for the third time i had to callfor a breakdown to tore it back to the same Garsge and the Manager suggested i may have put contaminated fuel .I then left the car for them to identify the problem but a day passed with no call from them so i jumped into a bus and went straight to the garage and was told they was a problem with a cambelt sensor which got burnt when i had a head gasket problem and the insurance is not covering it so i must pay another £245 !i then asked why was this sensor not noticed when they were doing the car?I M now caught up between these 2 (THE GARAGE AND THE INSURANCE) im really confuused!! they are keeping my car now !is this FAIR!please help !!anyone i neen the car for my work .WHAT DO I DO NOW? THIS IS LEEDS WEST YORKSHIRE ! HELP!!

i think ill just take out a policy somewere but they took some money from my account on the 19th soon after telling me that they cancelled my policy , but i have written a letter to their head office to explain why the have cancelled my polcy and im still waiting for a reply.thanks mate.

Car insurance cancelled by insurer with no notification after 4years:confused: I woke up the other day, being about 300miles from home and received a message from my girlfriend to say there is a letter from my insurer stating that my car insurance has been cancelled. I then picked up phone immediately and called my insurer but surprisengly no one could explain to me why my policy was cancelled (they just said sorry). Instead I was offered a new quote which was more than what I have been paying for the last 4 years so I turned it down and demanded an explanation why was my policy cancelled. I had to pick up a bill on my phone of about 1,5 hrs being passed from one person to another ,mind you I was 250 miles from here so I needed my car to be insured so as I get home , the guy who offering me a quote was even threating to report me to the police for driving a car without an insurance so that I take the quote he was giving me. I then decided to leave my car and jump into train home as I was not ready to fork out for another insurance company. I have been asked to write a letter to their head office so as they investigate why my policy was cancelled. Does anyone have any advice on how I proceed with legalities of this and attempting to get compensantion from the insurer for doing this? Please help. JUST TO POINT OUT THE NAME OF THE COMPANY . IS HASTINGS !!!!!!!!!!!!i wouid be very happy if anyone could help:confused:

hi Tilly , thanks a lot for the infor , i will do that straight away . i forgot to mention that yourkshire bank did send me all my statements but did give an advice that they have asked the" FSA " to suspend the normarl time table of dealing with bank charges complaints and if idecide to take my complaint to the (OFS) OR choose to issue a claim in the count court they will immediately apply to the court for an order to stay untill resolution of the banks and the OFT , DOES IT MEAN THAT IS HOW FAR THE CASE CAN GO FOR NOW? thanks again i ve sent a letter to HALIFAX for none compliance already!

HEY ! guys anyone out there ? please help! I received a letter from yourkshire bank and they are telling me that allthe cases are suspended untill the test case is resolved between the banks and the the office of fair trading ! is that true ? does it mean that i cant go a head and claim my money ?

hi guys im back ! halifax have been charging me again so i want it back ! can anyone tell me whats all this about the test case between allthe banks and the (OFT) AND IS IT TRUE THAT ALL THE CASES ARE SUSPENDED UNTILL THE TEST CASE IS RESOLVED? hi sea lady , wish you a merry christimas and happy new year . i have just recieved a reply from Y/B they seem to be backing down but they now talking about the determation of legal proceeding between (OFT) AND ALL the banks ! thus they have suspended the normal time table for dealing with bank charges complaints. they futher go on to say if i issue a claim in the count courts , the bank will immediately to the court for an order to stay untill resolution of the bank "s proceeding with the OFT ! WHAT happens here ? help
