  1. Thanks folks. Claiming back PPI, no matter what they call it, is not the prime issue just yet. I want to know what the old Monument number relates to today with BC. Acc numbers numbers do not match and BC gave me no agreement - just an illegible terms sheet. Monument was a trading name for BC and before Monument it was with Providian, which must have been a trading name for BC too. I assume that BC changed the account number of the older account to what it is today. No modifying agreement in evidence either of course. I need to get the info on this then I have proof that the old Monument account number with the PPI on relates to the current one with BC . I have SAR’ed BC and this may reveal something. In order to kill the new file I must know where it came from. I cannot say – oh look this account is invalid with PPI on if I cannot relate to this number discrepancy you see. Hope this explains where this is at. I shall wait for all SAR data before belting in the PPI claims on the Mon account. Another thing is that we save all data but the other second account in dispute with BC has NO statements to show for itself. Now what if BC SAR info shows NO statements too??? I presume thay have to show me everything I ask for with the SAR thingy and at VERY least any relevent statements??? I suspect something is just not right here.........have asked the highly effective (I know I know ) FOS to look into this but... Bit like un- knotting a nest of eels this...and all the help I get from BC is the usual Death, Murder, Kill if you don't, shut it and pay up without question mate - from their incredibly helpful assistants. PS I think the reason why BC are so cagey about NOT giving out many CCA requested agreements is that they know PPI will be a BIG issue and may render the accounts invalid. In some ways the easiest thing would be to say to BC - SOD OFF AND DONT WRITE AGAIN AS I WILL JUST IGNORE YOUR SILLINESS UNLESS YOU SHOW AN ENFORCABLE AGREEMENT. And at the same time rattle them with the PPI CLAIM ON THE OLD monument ACC NUMBER
  2. OF COURSE THEY CAN DO WITHOUT ANY MORE FREE PPI PUBLICITY SO...? The Financial Services Authority today delivered on its promise to crackdown on payment protection insurance (PPI) mis-selling by hitting HFC Bank with a record £1 million fine. The fine on HFC is the largest yet on a PPI provider, and more than double the next biggest PPI-related fine – the £455,000 levied against Loans.co.uk in October 2006. It is also the first since the FSA released research in September which showed PPI mis-selling still rife across the market. The FSA promised then that it would get tough with persistent offenders. 3. CHEERS SLICK THE OFFER INCLUDES 8% INTEREST WITHOUT QUESTION. Main priority is however a write off and this file seems to have been passed to the the Reigate terror without any DN OR PROPER assignment - so OC MAY BE SCARED OF RESCISSION OF CONTRACT . WHAT ELSE IS SCARING THEM? HOW THIS IMPINGES ON DCA (WHO HOLD ACCOUNT STILL) AM NOT CERATIN YET. PPI and OC admission of misselling is a handy issue to chase up .
  4. Great stuff many thanks - tally hooooooooooo I just need to figure out why the monument account number varies from the BC account number. I maybe should SAR Mon first .. I possibly have most statements though off Mon .. There have to be a link here but BC seem to have chaged the account number which is confusing me. To make matter worse before it was Mon ir wa called Providian... the number changed when BC got hold of it but coz I cannot get any original agreements off BC I cannot say which of our 2 accounts with BC it actually is......
  5. I found this on PBR Claiming against Monument Payment Break Plan - MoneySavingExpert.com Forums STILL NOT SURE HOW TO PLAY THIS? PBP seems to be a mystery but someone must know if we can claim it back as it was something we did not want or request.
  6. I may just write back to the OC saying that the offer is acceptable so long as they write off the balance and promise not to persue in any way. I need more advice though before I commit here . I have saved all stuff over the years back cannot find any DNs or noticies of termination FROM oc to say it had been passed over to the low lifes in Reigate. Possible rescission of contract?
  7. So it amounts to filing their letters of twaddle under J for junk and letting truecall tell them where to go with their phone abuse. Then we have the PPI thingy to throw into the equasion. ANYONE ANY INFO ABOUT "PAYMENT BREAK PLAN"? One BC account apparently has come from an OC, Momument, and loads of mothly PBP are on the statements.?????? I gather it is a crafty form of PPI although Monument statements claim that it is NOT insurance ... I may need to CCA and even SAR Monument as BC have no sign of any agreements - just daft terms forms... Yes??
  8. No agreement of any kind but good old FOS say BC are fine to persue this one .... Lovely!
  9. I TELL A FIB AS I PINCHED A BIT MORE POSTING TIME TONIGHT AS THIS ISSUE IS IMPORTANT... This is what OC said............ They even attached a form to sign to say I agreed with their terms...... They seem rather afraid of what I may do next to me Oh yes and FOS recently said the the reigate mob were quite ok to persue me... But now??? Worth telling FOS this latest news.. ? I think I know the answer, which links closely to chocolate teapots.
  10. thanks guys - I shall have to think of what to say to them as I dont really understand the whole thing here yet. Beneficial the OC gave it to the reigate hit squad and I had a hell of a time. Now this changes things I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO THREATEN WITH THOUGH????????? NO WAY WILL I PAY ANY BALANCE ON THIS PPI MISSELLING FIASCO. Will be back tomorrow.
  11. Bit of a turn up here I hit the OC with a PPI claim and they agreed to pay up so long as I promised not to take any action against them. they also said that if there is an outstanding balance this goodwill payment would be credited against the amount owed. No way is that acceptable. Their shark - worst credit boo hiss , never gave me anything but an crappy app form over my CCA request . Advice appreciated........
  12. Listen guys I can stand to be the object of abuse and jokes if it makes some posters feel better in them selves to scapegoat me for the personal problems, fears or inadequacies they may carry inside themselves. I know its huge fun to laugh at the misfortunes of others but that of course has its limits. Before I got ripped by that dog I may well have felt the same way that some the more callous know-all, life-style perfectionists felt on here. I have to say that I heard many dogs at many doors and always took precautions but, like the mountain climber who missed that last foothold, I made a simple mistake and paid the price. I heard nothing at this house and thought the place was empty. But this was no excuse to mistreat me here. Why so much hate? I came on this thread to simply gather a little bit of advice and that was all. I did not seek sympathy or understanding for the injury – just a bit of legal guidance. The bits I did get were helpful too. I would personally like the thread to stay open please, if the flamers will permit it, so that I can tell you what happens next. Any kid delivering leaflets can make a similar mistake and end up worse than I did. And yes – I still get pain and discomfort in the finger. For some reason this issue created great emotions, which is just so crazy. And again yes - I can give back much more that I get as some who know about me on this site could tell you. Personally though, if I want violence I will take it out on my six feet punch bag and leave such base things off great forums like this one... CAG is utterly vital to the wellbeing of the 21st century consumer. We have been badly let down by the so-called unbiased authorities, such as FOS, so we need to band together and recruit the public to get with it, wake up and support CAG now.. We need to be out there, telling it like it is now – not squabbling like rooks in a tree. Fighting amongst each other helps no one but the disgusting banks and DCAs, therefore let’s keep it real and remember who the enemy really is.
  13. In B/Card land the sky is rosy and the birds are singing in the trees. The word dispute is also banned from the lips of loyal staff. I know this for they have just bunged yet more 12 quid charges onto my disputed account, which they have not received a penny from since last summer. Still - in B/Card land that nasty term, executed agreement, is also frowned upon. Lovely! Perhaps I should send them a bill for something regarding the invisible agreement that they never signed with me that I may wish to persue them on. Surely it works both ways???
  14. I had a car reverse into my car. I won the case and sued the driver for almost 10k for injuries etc.
  15. Sorry but “banter?” No “pal” your post number 10 was uncalled for and distasteful. You have no idea what I was or was not delivering and to call it “turd” is disgusting. No matter what your opinion of my misfortune may be, your rude response was totally uncalled for. You are correct though that I do give us good as I get and who knows – one day you may be glad to have me on side.
  16. Yes - they really do seem to be idiots as you say and their constant phone abuse is plain silly. Still - I suppose it keeps a few kids in a job. I think that some of them come on here to play at times too
  17. I believe that the owner put wire box on plus warning signs 'after' the warden went to advise him of the dangers ,subsequent to the attack. Yes - I agree about the leaflet people and I have asked the solicitor to look into this. Thanks
  18. Or perhaps flame and troll along great sites like this where many people are actually seeking good advice? I think your attitude is cold, unhelpful and I just cannot see what joy you in fact get from abusing CAG site like this. Regards to your mummy
  19. Concur with what you say about the FOS - who are a banker's puppet. I really think a huge petition against FOS apathy is in order - especially due to the recent whistlblowing from insiders on this sad pro-bank outfit in the media. I shall get myself a truecall ...
  20. Are you qualified to give such medical advice though, or just messing about on mummy's PC again? Does she even know about this?
  21. It is quite good fun answering the pathetic letters from the DCAs - but the phone calling abuse is a drag so I think a truecall is soon to be the order of the day.
  22. CB thanks - yes, some advice has been very helpful and no worries about the naughty children on this thread who have possibly been secretly playing on mum's PC whilst she was not looking. The finger is not right yet.
  23. Thank you - I just do not know why folks got so nasty with me over this. I am a dog lover and my first reaction was that I did not want the dog blamed in anyway. I told that to the police. I just thought it was so wrong that a person doing a favour in delivering leaflets could be so badly injured. And the owner must have heard me screaming outside his door in pain and saw the blood in the porch etc. When I went back minutes later he was clearly NOT surprised to see me. After his initial peep at me he virtually closed the door in my face. I got the distinct impression that this was no big deal to him. I was also worried that a kiddie could get the same treatment as paper boys and girls do struggle as I did to get thing past the stiff letterboxes and especially the new ones with brushes. There was no barking or warning. I am sorry if my injury has offended some posters and I will be more wary in future. I had never done this task before. I will have to think about this again and possibly seek recompense off the party who owned the leaflets.
  24. Yes - I think it's called: being set up! To this day, I do not know what attacked me.
