  1. I simply wrote a letter and didn't fill out and specific forms from this or any other site. Just outline in your letter that you feel that the purpose of the scheme was never properly explained. Ask them for a copy of your original application form and any correspondence and/or phone calls relating to your agreement to PBP. Monument/B'card will send a standard response etc, but you may be lucky and get a final paragraph stating they believe they've done everything correct, but notwithstanding that they are willing to offer you £xxxx. See how you get on...my cheque has now arrived and been banked!!
  2. Further correspondence to Barclaycard, formerly Monument & Providian. I asked for documentation and copies of original application etc. They seem to have some major issues and challenges with records and were only able to provide me with a "sample" of the application form I would have signed. Initially offered just over £1,000, but now agreed £1,245 (including interest). As the account has been shut some 4 years...cheque received and banked. Hope everyone else is as fortunate!
  3. Hi...Within 2 weeks I received a "holding" response and to be fair within a further 7 days I received their full response. hope that helps.
  4. Hi...2 weeks from my initial letter I got standard "holding" response & then within 7 days I received their full response.
  5. Well still reviewing my options & considering how to respond....watch this space, but thought I'd post some good news re: the payment break plan..must be worried or why would they offer to pay me back so much without any negotiation?
  6. Wrote a speculative letter to Monument and received lengthy 3 page reply giving me the standard, it's not at PPI etc & why they feel that I had agreed to it being added and I understood what I was paying. Then on page 3 they said that after putting all these issues to one side they are willing to refund the entire last 6 years premiums totalling over £1,003!!! Thats before interest and indeed several documents I have referred to and asked for copies they seem to be struggling to provide. The great news for me is the account was cleared by me in 2007 and closed. Therefore I'm going to get a cheque when negotiations complete.
