Received a letter from Barclays re our court case
Vavitch replied to Vavitch's topic in Barclays Bank
My exact sentiments! One more point for the moral high ground! My family are now going through their statements! Thanks -
They are willing to settle the full amount but it does not mention the fees I have paid so far to the sum of £220. (£120 online and £100 when referred to another court). £220 will certainly be nice to have back... it will help towards xmas! Shall I call them on Monday and ask whether the court fees paid out are included or shall I continue with the courts? She has after all stated that if I have any queries I am to call her on a number that she has listed. Whaddya fink guys? Help!

I am just wondering if anyone has received a settlement before their court date? If so, how soon before the actual date? Thanks

I was a bit worried when I received my defense from Barclays, but soon noted that they had logged two account numbers and a sort code that had nothing to do with me! (I am only claiming for one). That made me very happy as I think that goes in my favour, so I was sure to include that in my QA. I also included in my QA the fact that Barclays charges me 4 times in a month 3 times and once they charged me 5 times in 2001 ... in the QA it went. Anyway, I now have a date set for 12 December at Woolwich County Court at 10.30 am or something. I am not worried. Just stick to your guns. If you start something, you must have the guts to see it through to the end. Barclays are only trying to scaremonger. Well a lot of us, it seems, are made of sterner stuff. I am confident of a positive outcome. Good luck to all that are claiming.
