Hello there I have just received my allocation questionnaire and have been filling it out. I started having a look for all my documentation and proof of the charges made on the account and realised that I have mislaid the bank statements I was sent!!! I have no proof unless I ask for them to send them to me again and that could take ages!! So I won't be able to submit a court bundle! Does anyone have any advice on this? I have received a letter from Cahoot saying that they will give me 65% of my claim and I figure now I have no choice but to accept this as I don't have all the correct paperwork to take to court! Gutted! Just thought I'd double check to see if anyone had any suggestions before I write to Abbey. Your advice would be appreciated.

Ok. I'm currently claiming charges back from Smile and intend to close that account in a couple of months so I may wait and then have a go with Barclays. Maybe if I am account down I may have more chance of getting a parachute account? Lots to think about! Thanks again.

Hello all I want to claim back some of Barclays charges but I am put off by the chance that they will ask me to close my account. When I get these charges back I will still have an £800 overdraft. I think I may have difficulty getting a parachute account as I already have a couple more maxed accounts and my credit rating isn't great. So I thought I'd check here to see if the normal thing is for them to close accounts? If it isn't then I may just risk it! Any feedback would be much appreciated.

I'd like to know the same as queenvic. Hello by the way, I've never posted on this but I'm very excited by the prospect of getting my money back! My concern is that I have a couple of bank accounts, some debt and a bit of a ropey credit rating so I'm worried that if I ask my bank for my charges and they close my account I won't find anyone to take on the rest of my overdraft. Do they pretty much always close accounts? These doubts are putting me off claiming from my main bank. Any advice would be appreciated.
