OK letter sent on the 25th June politely requesting my money back. Letter received today stating they were looking into my complaint and that they would contact me again no later than the 25th July. I think not. LBA being sent on Monday.

OK quick update received my statements this morning after a very stern conversation on the phone. Only one question on the end of my last statement I noticed a 30 pound fee entitled "commission" does anyone now what this and can I reclaim it. Would dearly like to know who's commission I'm paying. I have additions account that I already pay 14.50 a month for.

No I didn't send recorded but will ensure Ido with all further letters. I have just got off the phone to a very helpfull lady at barclays who said they had no record of my request. That will teach me. She did ask why I wanteded my statments or rather list of charges and when I informed her she said they would be with me within 4 weeks. No chardge would be made and they whould look at my account with regard to making a offer in the same time period. Left feeling quite postive on the whole. Don't think the offer will be for full amount but still a lot quicker than anticipated.

Hi it would appear we are in the same boat. I also posted my S.A.R to barclays but neglected to send recorded delivery, as yet I have had zero response. Barclaycard have sent my statments going back to 2004 and a standed letter saying I'll get the rest in the next six weeks. Barclaycard did cash my 10 pound cheque but not barclys yet.

just thinking should I phone them to confirm reciept as Ive had no reply. If so on what number?

Hi all hope I'm posting this in the right place. Very new to all this. Having spent hours reading all info from you guys I have just sent a letter to Barclaycard asking for my charges (template letter) Now counting the 40 days not hopefull of response from all I;ve read they sound like gits. Hope I've done the right thing.

Also my dad had a lot of charges aprox 8 years ago. He banked with loyds TSB has anyone recieved statments going back further than 6 years with them. I would love to help him claim these back.
