  1. I have the same sort of problem. I was told by the CCCS to open another bank account so that the Halifax cant take money without my authorisation but even though they recommended the natwest as a bank that dont do credit checks to open a basic account, when I applied they asked for 3 months statements from my current bank. Of course these show me overdrawn so the Natwest are not going to take me on. Does anyone know which bank would?
  2. Hi, Im just starting the procedure today and have written my letter but am confused as to the best address to send it to. I have this address on a letter from the bank - City House, City Road Chester. I also have another letter with an address in Halifax on it. Then there is my local branch address. Does anyone know which is the best bet please. Thanks

  4. Hi All. I have only just found this site today and though Im finding it a bit confusing at the moment Im sure its going to be a great help. Im really struggling financially and am desperate to get my head above water again. The bank isnt helping though. Only today I got 2 letters, one from the bank telling me they have not paid a DD to my car insurance company ( I was 1.20 short in the account) for this they are charging me £39 which will be taken out on the 9th. I have also had a letter from the insurance telling me they are taking an extra £25 from me when they represent the DD on the 13th. I have had to cancel another DD due out on the 10th as there will be no money for that after the bank take the £39. What I need to know is, as I also have arrears on my credit card will it make it impossible for me to try to claim back my bank charges. Thank you all.
