  1. Several weeks ago (non fault accident) I contacted Hastings and was immediately given Albany Assistance contact details expecting correspondence forms etc to be sent out. Heard nothing and rang them on numerous occasions 0845 they refused to ring me back, promised to etc but nothing. Frustrated I rang the insurance company they said records show two days after the accident the third party told their insurance I hit her car which was certainly not the case. Albany had repeatedly informed me the delay was due to third party not answering the phone to give an account of the accident I was emailed an accident report to send to yet another email address. The next day Nationwide contacted me my car was taken yesterday possibly a write off, I have a courtesy car for a few days. They charge £140.00 per hour labour plus parts nice little earner all wrapped up. I was warned if its written off maybe Monday they will take the courtesy car straight back and want £345.00 excess. THROUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN I will then be left out of pocket with no vehicle , no idea how much and when they will offer a settlement fee or when it will be paid. Several hours on 0845 numbers and so far I have done all THE work myself! Please note the most communication I have had is with a bunch of solicitors called Carpenters Solicitors telling me I had whiplash or if I don't have it now to contact them at anytime to CLAIM! I don't and I won't. Any advice never had an insurance claim before but know I am at the moment been misled! Thanks
