CMC demanding fes for doing NOTHING!!

I contacted a CMC because i had an old loan which i had paid off but no longer had the paperwork and policy number. they said they would be able to process my complaint. after a few weeks they called and said i needed to contact the bank and get a policy number!. i contact the loan provider, sainsburys, who denied i had taken a loan out with them let alone ppi. i had to order and old bank statement at a cost and sent it to sainsburys. during this time the CMC hounded me asking me for the policy number and signature which i didn't have. after many many months sainsburys have admitted i had a loan and was missold PPI. a few days later the CMC sent me a threatening and agressive letter demanding £200 plus vat payment because i signed for them to investigate!! i am disgusted as they told me to contact the bank on their behalf which i did and now they are demanding a fee. i have no intention of paying them and i had complained. i advise anyone to stay well away from this corrupt company!!!!!!!!!!
