Just a quick hellooo to everyone - am new on here, and will spend some time reading through the details before taking on the Halifax!! I am self employed, so get paid by lots of seperate cheques, had 3 small DDs going out one day, no funds but a substantial cheque was due to clear the next day, which would easily have covered them all, but the Halifax chose to charge me £39 for each one that failed!!! The largest of the DDs was only £11 - how can they justify that? GRRRR!! And they took the money out on the 22nd of December - how mean, Scrooges!!! This site is a god-send, I heard about it through a friend, who I will definitely take out for a drink!! Speak soon, Christine
