Our charges have occurred mainly over the last 2 years, the banks don't seem to understand that the main reason people go overdrawn is because we are struggling to keep up, so when they slap a huge charge in your account it soon snowballs into a new unexpected debt. I know they are a business but we need to eat and live, their charges are unacceptable. We have had enough and we will follow your advise. Thank you for your responses. M**

Hi We are just starting proceedings to claim back our Abbey bank charges that they have taken over the previous few years - can I just ask, should we open a new account somewhere else before we start, do they always close down your account
