  3. Many thanks Cheddar. I will navigate the site and get as much info as possible. It will be a test for my patience, but reading some of the stuff here, really shine a positive light on things. Cheers
  4. Hello Community, I've discovered this site late November 2006 via a radio programme and decided to check it out. In a nutshell. I've been with Halifax Bank for over 12 years. Finance has been rather stretched between periods of July 2005 to Dec 2006. Therefore during that time I've incuring bank charges of £39 a throw for bounced cheques, non-payment of direct debit, lack of funds etc... At a given month I was charged just over a hundred pounds in bank charges alone. I got my back statements and the total of my charges between July 2005 and Dec 2006 is approx £1500. I've got a couple letters with the charges notifications, but most I've thrown away as I wasn't aware at the time anything can be done about it. I've managed to get on top of my finance again, and haven't been charged for the last couple months. My question is, being that this happened between 2005 and 2006, and considering the total charge of that period, do you think it's worth going about making a claim? What are my chances of success with this do you think? Where is the best place to start in pursuit of this? Thanks
