Received a statemet today advising of £90 charges from missed DD's that to my knowlege had been paid (The comps involved never told me I'd missed them). Im now concerned this has happened in the past and NW have been milking me on the sly (at least Halifax had the decency to notify me of anything that went unpaid) Sending my statement request on Monday Although what worries me is that my Mother put in a claim against NW over 6 months ago and they are still refusing to hand over the cash but its handy having a lawyer in the family

Hi guys. I didn't get as far as the second letter. My initial request and spreadsheet was enough. Halifax kindly refunded me the full amount of £2682.00 I would like to wish everybody making claims the very best of luck And a big THANK YOU to all those who's hard work makes this site possible, and whithout them many of us would still be clueless and out of pocket. I recently made a claim for just under £3000. Last week I received a letter from Halifax along the lines of 'Sorry you are unhappy we are looking inot it and it can take up to 4 weeks' Based on the experiences of others on here. How long did it take them to sort out your claims? and did you at anypoint have any difficulties from them? Do halifax try and settle at a lower amount to your claim at all? Should I write back and say 4 weeks is unacceptable or sit it out? Thanks in advance for any replies.
