  1. No prob....all forgotten...I just want you to get all your money back...if its like my situation, you will probably get a first offer...refuse it! then a week or so later, you will get the full amount. I claimed, the over draft charge, and the excess overdraft charge. They have not offered a repayment of any interest including that interest paid on the charge and also the 8% per year. I put the 8% in my prelim letter, the bank will calculate what the total is without this and make you an offer !! The way I see it, there is no harm in putting it in, it shows you are serious, and if the bank are going to pay out, they will make sure they do the maths to check they are paying out the right amount. Sorry this is so garbled - and hence previous confusion - Im at work and it is manic at the mo!! Regards, and best of luck to you, tho really I should say, enjoy getting your money back!!!
  2. Wow, issue with the bank.... not me...cheers I read the FAQ and was informed to claim for 8% interest per year.....this is what i thought u were referring to... I think you can find spreadsheets for calculating interest in the templates library or try Financial News, City News, Mortgages, Loans, Savings, Pensions, Market Reports | This is Money concequently received a letter yesterday stating they would not refund my interest, but would refund my full amount of charges total £704...full and final settlement. therefor this is my last visit to this site!!!
  3. Hey All of these questions are stated in the FAQ page..... Not being funny and I know they are long....but you got to read them.... Good luck:p
  4. has anyone been getting delay tactics from the lovely peple at FD. I was told they would repsond in 10 working days and since have heard nought.....I rung and am about to send a letter saying (I'm not happy) etc, but they did say they would take another 10 working days and I would hear by 2nd FEB.........did anyone else have this delay type saga??
  5. hey, I sent of my statements with the letter requesting my charges back, FD responded quite quickly and said they would be in contact in 10 working days. I heard nothing so i rung them and wrote a letter. i did receive a letter end of last week, stating they were inundated with claims and it would be another 10 working days. I know they are stalling, if they dont come back to me by the 2nd, what should I do...... start the court proceedings?
  6. Hi all, Merry Christmas to everyone who is standing up for their rights and tackling the banks. As a student who struggles with a huge amount of debt for living and tuition costs, I think it is disgusting how banks make money from us in these un fair ways. Good luck to EVERYONE!!!
