  1. I will pass what you have told me onto my friend, she is trying everything she can to help her dad, it is horrible to see your own parents or even your friends parents suffer, (I worked with her dad for 7 years, thats why i posted this thread to try & help her) Thanks again for your help & advise.
  2. I'm sorry to hear about your Mum Ladybird. His wife is still around, could she possibly register as a carer for him, I will tell her to get her dad to go the doctors & see what they say about carers etc, thanks
  3. My Good Friends Dad suffers with MG (myasthenia gravis) an auto immune disease, affecting the immune system, causing droopy eyes and affecting vision, making working/driving/everyday activities difficult. would he be entitled to Disability Living Allowance Currently still working full time, just turned 60years old, so if he didnt work, what would he be entitled to, (ie working pensions!/ disability/) or would he be entitled to pensions whilst working!) Its a bit complicated & a not very well know desease for which there is no cure!! Thanks
  4. Thats interesting, something really does need to be done about these people. We only took out £1000, I missed 2 £40 payments & it was put straight onto Gemini Bailiffs! Now we are paying £100 a week to these people until we've paid back the full £2600!!!!!! The thing is though, i never gave them my log book, insuarance, MOT or anything so do they really have a right to take my car?? I'm actually planning on moving house soon, as soon as that happens they car whistle for the rest, I could actually afford 2 mortgages for what I pay these cowboys!!!
  5. Hi Nellie75, Thanks for that, I finally managed to get throught to the baillifs last night (Gemini), they have agreed a re payment scheme with me, I actually found them more reasonable than LBL, there was no give what so ever with LBL. i'm now paying £20 more each week on what I was paying LBL till it's paid of in Jan in full, I hate being in this situation but at least I slept well last night!!!!!! for once!!!!
  6. Hi i'm new to all this, but had to register as I also need advise on LBL!! I recieved a letter from the bailiffs on Tuesday saying I have 72 hours to pay up or lose my car, surely I can fight for longer than this, I only need another week or 2 max then will be paying the amount in full (2 & a half times more than I borrowed in the first place) but desperate times call for desperate measures don't they. What can I do to keep these monsters from taking my baby from under my feet?? also would they come to work for it or just my home address?? please help.
