  1. correction £156.28 is what they have charged me I missed a month by accident.
  2. I managed to reclaim £958 from natwest thanks to you guys thank you! however they have now terminated my overdraft and continued to charge me currently to the sum of £78.64. Not sure what to do about that but thank you!
  3. I had a similar experience. Luckily I have quite nice local tellers. The lady called me to tell me that they had arrived adn I picked them up at the branch. There were the full 6 year complement but the envelope was very shoddy and I can only wonder if they sent those statements to my local bank via the mail also. If htey had then as you say, ANYONE could have those details. Considering that these statements are being sent out in response to a DPA letter it's kind of ironic and not a little bit inappropriate for the banks to be doing this.
  4. If you are paying for both internet and broadband seperately then stop. You simply don't need to. Example I have recently been paying £24.99 per month with virgin.net for my broadband and was averaging £36 per month with BT. I have since switched to the maxi pipex package. That is £27.99 per month for unlimited broadband (at up to 8MB depending on area) and unlimited anytime free calls for the phone. So from £60.99 per month to £27.99 per month. Thats a £33 per month saving and £396 a year saving in your pocket.
  5. They are the cheapest. Scottish Power is likely to be the cheapest in the long run because they never advertise on TV or Radio and rarely on Posters. So you are not paying for their advertising. This cuts the price down to roughly half. We're switching from powergen and it will save us roughly £114 per year.
  6. I have my bank statements but just to clarify things I wish to figure out what the "Data Controller" is. Is that simply the bank address that I registered with or is it a kind of head office for the bank? Also since I do have my full bank statements sholuld I alter the DPA letter to merely request a list of where these charges were manually handled or will the Prelim letter cover it. Thank you in advance for your help.
  7. Okay I'm using the advanced excel sheets to work out everything the charges are fine but I'm a little confused about the interest part. Do I just list all interest after the first date of illegal charges or do I only include interest over a certain amount...? the technical terms have got me confuzzled a little.
  8. Okay gotcha. Thank you again Nattie. you're a wonder.
  9. Thank you Nattie. So does this mean that I have to send out another SAR to Borehamwood?
  10. Thanks for hte welcome good to be here. I've asked for my statements at the local natwest she said there would be a £5 charge as you said. She's taken my number and will call me when they arrive. The check has not been cashed so I can only guess that they have ignored it. Once I have gone through my statements and figured out which charges are excessive etc do i edit the SAR and just request information on the charges I am interested in? I recall on the SAR template it specifically mentions that the sender wants the information of which of the charges have actually been handled by an employee and requests also the proof. do I still want to follow that path? would it be more useful to have the Consumer Action Group logo on hte envelope so they don't accidently misplace it?
  11. My typing is terrible okay let me clear this up a little. I sent the SAR to the data commisioner for Natwest in london. I enclosed the £10. I used the template from one on this site. It has now bee nover 40 days and I have still not recieved any statements. Do I go to the bank directly now just to check the progress or do I write more letters? As far as I can tell they have not taken the money. Have I perhaps written to the wrong people?
  12. I've sent the first data protection template letter out to Natwest with a check for the 10 pounds. It's been over 40 days now and I've got now statements. What do I do? Do they do this often? If not perhaps I have messed up somewhere...
