Fri 8th Dec Finally got bank statements through after ringing every day since last friday. the Halifax tried everything to put me off from getting the statements, including saying ''we are not paying out on current accounts its credit cards only'' im off now to total up the charges & interest!!.

Hello, I just embarking on the process of claiming back my bank charges, i hope to update this post regularly from the start till the end & hopefully end up with my money back. If anyone would like to comment or advise throughout the next few months it would by greatly appreciated! hopefully i may be of assistance for others hopeing to do the same, Estimate of chrges & interest over 4 years £1500 - Till i get statements through. The Colbinator. 1 - Thur 23th Nov 2006. Rang up the halifax & asked very nicely for them to send out my statements since ive opened the account approx 4 years ago. i was told there would be a £5 charge & it would take 10 days. 2 - Fri 24th Nov 2006. Rang up Again Today - just to confirm everything was ok & the statements were on there way - they say "yes with you in 10 days Sir", i am now starting to get very exited as £1500 would be very very nice. 3 - Fri 1st Dec 2006 Rang Halifax to check that the statements were on the way, only to be told that they had not been ordered - as i had not agreed to the charge for £5 for the statements!!!! NOT HAPPY - the lady apologised & has wavied the £5 fee, but now its going to take another 10 days. THEY ARE TRYING TO DRAG IT OUT IN THE HOPE ILL JUST GO AWAY - THEYVE GOT A NASTY SUPRISE!!!
