  1. Could someone just clarify my query for me please? I took out a bank loan in 2005. I was given a break down of what I would be paying back over the 5 year period, without and also with PPI. Would the interest that I am claiming back be the figure that was quoted when I took out the loan or is there a calculation I need to use to work out how much I can claim?
  2. I have now received all the requested documents and I have written my reclaim letter but can someone help me understand how the interest is calculated?
  3. Just got off the phone with Nothern Rock (NRAM) because I still have not received the documents I requested. They stated that they had not received my SAR letter. I explained what I needed and I was told that they would act on it immediately and send me all the details. I wait in anticipation...
  4. SAR has been done and I'm on my way to post it now. I guess I'll just have to sit back and wait for them to reply.
  5. Hi, I really don't know where to atart with this one. The forum has changed slightly since I last used it in 2008. Anyway, in 2005 in took out a loan with Nothern Rock and signed for PPI. I just need someone to shne a torch in the right direction and I should be able to take if from there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  7. Hi, Can any help me out here? Can I claim back the PPI paid and if so how do I go about it. I have read the consumer wiki page and I have a copy of my PPI aggrement which I took out 3 years ago and I have 2 years remaining. I am not sure if I can claim because I signed a copy and sent it to them. I remember telling them that I had insurance with my employer and they asked me to fill out a questioneer to check if I still needed any further protection. This is what they came up with; Following a review of your personal circumstances during your Unsecured Personal Loan application we have identified that you have a need for our Loanprotect insurance for the reasons stated below, if due to unforeseen circumstances you are unable to meet your loans repayments: For simple peace of mind that your repayments are being made You have limited sick pay You wish to retain your savings for other purposes You are the sole/main income earner In making our personal recommendation we acknowledge you may have an existing insurance policy with another firm that, when compared to our policy, may offer appropriate cover for this loan commitment. Given that we have not taken details of this existing policy into account, you should carefully check this policy to ensure that our recommendation remains suitable now and in the future. Following our recommendation you have selected to protect your loan with Loanprotect Silver. I contacted them and I was told that I have already paid off most of the interest on the PPI. 8. DO NOT BE AFRAID MY FRIEND! Send them the Letter Before Action LBA demanding a full refund. They will most probably try to stall as they have already done. If nothing is heard or done, fill in the claim form N1 or MCOL. You will receive a letter from the court telling you that it has been served. Wait 14 days and if nothing is heard or done, complete the Notce of Judgement. I asked for payment to be made immediately but it took them 2 weeks to make the payment. Hang in there, you will get paid.
  9. Hi all, I just wanted to say that I have won. IF have paid out. Thanks to all of you that helped me out. I had to wait for two months but I feel great knowing that justice has been served. Best of luck to you all and be patient. You will get paid. I must go and donate so that this site keeps on helping other people. 20/11/2006 LBA sent. 10. Hi there, have you managed to get an answer re the warrant process?
  11. My claim is for £319.49 and it was issued on 13/12/2006 and was deemed served on 18/12/2006. IF had until 02/01/2007 to reply but did not. I then requested a notice of judgement to be entered on 04/01/2007 for IF to pay immediately. Nothing has been done. I have just received a call from Rhona Kerr-Sloan, customer relations consultant from IF, she informed me that my claim was sent to Halifax as they were dealing with it.
  12. Thanks for your reply. IF did not put in a defence but I did receive an acknowledgement of service from the court. I called the court and it was confirmed that my request for judgement was issued on or around 04/01/2007. However, I still have not herad anything from IF. Sorry about the thread thing. It is just that no one had replied to the other threads I posted in the IF forum and I thought I was doing it wrongly. Is there a way of linking my other threads to this one?
  13. Is there anyone out there who can help me? IF have still not paid up. The request for judgement was issued on 03/01/2007 and I've still not heard a thing from them. I called that Rhona Kerr-Sloan woman from IF and was told she was out of the office and she would call me back. Should I wait of go to the next stage and ask for a warrant to be issued? vbrep_register("489011")
