  1. Hi there, I recently sent the first 'standard' letter off to my bank (HSBC) asking for my charges to be refunded within 14 days, and I received a letter from them on the 14th day saying that they were 'investigating my query' and that they would 'get back to me within the next 14 days'. I was advised to stick to my timescales not theirs, and to send them a Letter Before Action straight away, which I did. It is now the 14th day and I have heard nothing at all so I'm not sure what I should do now! I was hoping it wouldn't get as far as me having to take court action as it scares me but I will do it if necessary! I hadn't added interest to the charges (I wasnt really sure how to work it out) but I guess I would need to do this now? I'm also a bit unsure as to what to do, because I have also started another claim with HSBC, for another account that I had with them, but I started this claim a bit later than the one mentioned above - I sent the first 'asking for it back' letter and that has now been 14 days, I received the same 'we are investigating, will get back to you in 14 days, blah blah blah' letter a couple of days ago. So I'm a bit unsure what to do - should I go ahead with the court action for the first account mentioned above and send a Letter Before Action for the second account, or should I wait and do the court thing altogether for both of them? And if so, should I do that now or wait 14 days? Im a bit worried about the wholoe court thing but like I said I'll do it if I have to, is it all just done online? Not sure if it helps, but for the first account I mentioned at the top, the claim is for about £600, and the second account it's about £300. I hope I havent confuseed anyone I've explained as well as I can, I really hope people can give me a bit of advice! Thanks Rachael

  3. Hi everyone, Well I am currently in the process of claiming from HSBC, but I'mma bit confused as to what I do now. I got all my statements, added it all up etc etc, asked for the money back using the standard letter giving them 14 days to respond etc, now I have received a letter (which is obviously a normal bog-standard letter) along the lines of 'We are looking into your query, please allow us a further 14 days by which time we will respond to your query'. What a joke! But what do I do now? Do I send a Letter Before Action now or do I wait for 14 days as they've said? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Rach
