Hi Barneybear & to anyone else who are just about to start off, If you are registered with telephone banking like I am, I requested my statements over the phone and received them 10 days after requesting them and they only debited my account of £5. It cuts the waiting time down for all that lovely money you will get back!! Good luck not that you will need it.

Many thanks for replying to me, I'm not usually up that late, I am a little excited by it all and I sit for hours reading all the successful claims. I will feel a little more confident with the Court bit if I can run it by someone like yourself who has already been there!!! I am also going to do the claiming for my son & daughter theirs to total £600+ each, I will keep everyone updated on my progree with it all

Hi everyone registered in October and spent many an hour reading all your positive stories!!! only just built up the courage to go for it. I am beginning to get quite excited as I have never been the driving seat before. Telephone Halifax requested statements, was told they would debit my account of £5 for service. Didn't mind as hopefully will get a little more than that once my claim has been recognised. After receiving my statements,totaling my charges and interest I am owed around £700. Sent prelim letter 5th December, had letter back advising me my claim had been sent to customer relations dept and someone would contact me within 4 weeks. Unfortunately I obliged and heard nothing, yesterday (16th January) sent in my LBA. Hopefully someone out there is at a simular stage, maybe we could go through this together and compare notes?

Hi My son daughter and myself received same letter 4 weeks ago, unfortunately I waited and heard nothing, my 2 children had offers within the 4 weeks of exactly half the amount they were claiming back. Yesterday posted my childrens thanks but no thanks letters, plus sent all our LBA's. Will keep you updated with our progress as you are not far behind us now! Pat

Hi New to this so any help and advise would be most appriciated!!!! Have already submitted my Prem Letter, received a letter back from them stating they were sending my letter to the customer relations dept and that someone would be in touch within 4 weeks....(1st mistake allowing them to call the shots). There 4 weeks are up today and have not received anything, I have just posted a LBA today and will only give them the 14 day's specified. I assume I just sit and wait for their next move? Pat

Hi, I am new to this also. It seems I am at a simlular stage as you, I received the same letter explaining someone from the customer relations dept will investigate and get back to me within 4 weeks. That 4 weeks is up today and I have not received anything, I have just sent a LBA and pointed out my disappointment in them for not fulfilling their promise.
