Update! Finally spoke to Julie Kyle at DG and she said that the clients are taking along time to repsonf, so that means I wil have to go through the courts. AQ going in on Monday. I did mention that I had been promised a letter by the end of this week. I assume that HSBC are swamped with claims. Oh dear, what a pity, never mind.

I've not even had an offer from DG yet! I have rung the court and they said I can have until 4pm Monday as my submission date is a Sunday. I am now ringing DG every hour to try and get a response from someone!!!!! I am hoping to recieve a letter from DG tomorrow as on Monday they promised communication by the end of this week.

My AQ is due in on Sunday and DG promised on Monday past that I would hear from them by the end of the week. Obviously I haven't, I have called and left a message so hope to hear from them today. My question is this, if I don't hear from them can I get an extension on my AQ or would it have to be filed as per the date on it? Also are the courts even open on a Sunday to take it down in person?

Right I faxed my schedule of charges yesterday, what do I need to do now? Should I call them and check to see did they recieve it?

Schedule of charges off to DG tomorrow, still no acknowledgement for the 2nd claim. (Quelle Suprise!) I am hoping to have this one settled by the end of this week. Then that's my September holiday paid for. I should have a little left over too.

Round two launched. Now asked for charges on the joint account to be refunded, so that's another nearly 2K! Soon adds up doesn't it!

I have turned down their offer and told them that proceedings had already begun. IIRC they acknowledged, online, on the 12th. (There or there abouts) will I get a paper one to my home address too?

I just checken MCO and they have acknowledged my claim. So I need to send my schedule to HSBC's solicitors is that right? Is there contact on here or will I recieve a "paper" acknowledgement too?

Phew, I'm glad it's not just me. I recieved an offer yesterday from HSBC, but had already served notice on them through MCOL. I was a bit confused as to what to do. I shall now send my no thanks letter to Colin and let the courts decide. They have until the 30th. Lets all go for them! By the way, my Husband has started hic claim against RBS and in the New Year we will go after the joint account.

Ok, I finally have a letter from HSBC, offering me £960 in full and final settlement, and as I have said before, the actual figure is nearer £2000. The other thing is I have already gone ahead and issued a court summons because I had not heard from them. What happens now? Do I hang on for a court ruling? I feel a bit lost now, having come so far I'm a bit stuck now. The letter from HSBC was only recieved today, 14th December, but dated the 11th. My second letter went to them on 15th November.

That's another two weeks gone by with no reply. So now it's time to get heavy.

The other account hasall the big bills and DD's go out of it, which means that we need to move it all first. We are off on holiday in just over a week, so it is the first thing we are going to do when we get back. In for a penny, in for a lot of pounds.

Having read all the advice and step by step guides my preliminary request letter will be in the post tomorrow. I have included my schedule of charges and await a response. I calculate they owe me £1200! That's just on my account! I have another account already with another bank. If this is succesful I will go for the charges on the joint account too! Lexxity.

Hi Hoppo, I got my statements today from HSBC, they will not give me any statements prior to Dec 2001! How do I get these statements or do I apply an arbitrary sum? Lexxity - Over 1K owed.
