  1. They negotitated with me? Eh? I have 8 charges with them, so even if I take off the approx £3 it costs them to charge me, it's still over £1,100. That's my logic anyway. I will let you know how I get on. Thanks
  2. Sent letter to FD for £1,195 (£1,145 without interest) on 18 June Received letter this morning with offer of £998. Am gonna call on Mon and try and get a bit more (cheeky I know but worth a try!) Otherwise I will accept this one! Thanks for all the great advice on the site!
  3. WELL WELL WELL - I have received an offer letter from FD this morning of £998. I am going to call up on Monday and try and negotiate to £1,100 but otherwise this will do me nicely! Fantastic! Thanks for your advice, I will be having a great holiday! :) :)
  4. hi all - I have 3 claims on the go - HSBC (2 Accounts), Abbey and FD. Sent letters last week (rec'd by the Banks on Weds) and have had acknowledgements from Abbey and HSBC with their usual "we are looking in to your complaint, up to 8 weeks for a response" etc etc. They are only for a few hundred quid each. My claim with FD (including £50 interest) is just under £1,200 so as you can imagine I am keen to get this one going asap and I haven't heard anything back I have looked on moneysavingexpert.com as well and some people with cases in the same £ region as mine get responses back quite quickly (ie a few days). I know it's early days but I just wondered from experience what FD are like at responding? Going on holiday for 2 weeks Wednesday next week (4th July) so if I haven't heard back from them then (or something further from Abbey/HSBC) I shall send my LBA's on the way to the airport! Anyway - any experience of FD's responsiveness much appreciated!
