  1. Just read the sticky on contact info for Halifax and i'm still not sure where i should be sending my letter requesting statements to, i thought it was to go to the "Trinity road, Halifax, West Yorkshire" address but now i'm not so sure - can anyone help me out here!?!? also should i send ALL letters via recorded delivery?? thanks in advance!
  2. When i send any letters to the bank - should i send them all recorded delivery or is there just certain ones i need to send using this??
  3. Hi, i am just about to request my statements from Halifax. I have read various threads and been lurking about here & MSE for months now - mainly wondering if its worth my while for all the effort and finally i've decided i think it is! off the top of my head i imagine i've paid about £1K a year (maybe slightly more or less) in charges to the halifax for vgarious reasons. My big concern is the only being able to claim up to £750 through the scottish courts. Has anyone resident in scotland claimed more than this and what is the best way to go abou this. I was considering filing a claim per yer sort of thing then i read that courts were unlikely to pay out on multi claims from 1 account, how is the best way to get around this?? I am interested in anyone that is also at the same stage as i am & anyone that has been successful with a claim against the halifax & from/resident in Scotland. All help appreciated! Many thanks in advance! Dolci*
  4. thanks for the tips. Yea i do have a few relatives down the road. What is MCOL?
  5. Ok so i've been lurking here for a few weeks now reading adn thinking would all this be worth while... YES obviously lol so i done the letter requesting my statements Will post it when i actually find my cheque book to write the £10 cheque lol i reckon there must be a few £k they own me in charges. I know that in the last 6 months i've had almost £500 in charges so god help them for 6 years worth!! My only concern from reading the posts was that I am in Scotland and the £750 limit. I guess i would just split it down and claim for each year? All help appreciated!!
