  1. hi guys and girls i asked bankfodder about a family tax credit forum and he said to raise a thread and see what response i got . so here goes - please reply either if you think that this would be a good topic or if you like many others are going through the same issue's getting sense out of them. there are loads of people out there fighting alone against the goverments attempt to recover thier mistakes , i think its time we gave them a run for thier money .
  2. Hi Mate first thing i would do is download the right drivers from the web for your laptop, by default xp will load a generic driver , whilst it will work ,its not optimised for your screen. once you have done this and only if this does not fix the issue then do as you did on the previous thread but instead of changing the screen size go to settings and select the advance option. you will find the option to change the font size here under general , also if you click the monitor tab you can change the screen refresh rate , this will stop the wobble .
  3. Hi Kev took rbs to court , was given date of 27th feb , cheque arrived last week , you just have to brasen it out , bear in mind that it cost rbs to prepare a case defence , normally this is submitted at least 14 days before the court date :- therefore in order not to have to pay the solicitor to prepare the case they settle hope this helps - i know its scarey but stay with it , you will win i won over £5k nice xmas present jimbob
  4. hi guys/girls i need toknow the answer to the following :-this site and all documentation relates to banks and credit cards, do the same rules apply to building societies. heres where i come from , a few years ago i was made redundant , while i was unemployed abbey national bs , loaded my account with all sorts of admin charges / referral charges - even started proceeding against me , fortunately the judge was on my side and bought us some time , eventually found a job and paid them off. i know they all drink HORLICKS!!!!!! Bunch of B!!!!!!!!!!!S CAN I CLAIM THESE CHARGES BACK ON THE GROUND THAT THEY ARE PENALTIES AND NOT ACTUAL COSTS ?? does the same legislation apply regards Jimbob
  5. cheers guys , guess i will try to see if i can force thier hand when we come to settle , if not settle and reclaim for charges . im right in thinking that i need to copy all 153 sheets of statements then , oh well , any one know ,if i can submit electronic copies rather than printed ???
  6. hi guys/girls off to court at the end of feb , carnt understand why it takes 6 monthsto get a small claim scheduled , but dont want to unset judge by complaining. question 1 - do i really have to copy all my statements for the bundle or will the speadsheet do question two - since lodging my claim , rbs have been hitting me with £48 charges each month for unauthorised overdraft - can i ask for this back or do i have to go to court again , or can i just refuse to pay these when they settle help much appreciated
  7. Hi Louise standard tactic here , what they are saying is that you have not itemised the charges you are claiming for , probably because there was no way to do this in mcol , what you need to do is fill in the allocation questionaire and attached the spreadsheet with all your charges - it should have the date of the charge ,amount of charge and discription. it also probably chuners on about a cpr18 - ignore this -it does not apply to a small claims court - infact write back to them saying this if they mention this hope this helps regards jim
  8. Hi Guys Ive just recievied notice of transfer of proceeding from mcol , as rbs have submitted a defence via corbetts , i have a couple of questions 1/ i filed for just under the £5000 with the mcol costs , but if i add the £100 court cost this will take me over the £5000 small claims limit (does this mean i can not use the small claim procedure? or are these cost excluded) 2/ during the period of the claim rbs have continued to add costs and penalty interest charges , will i have to caim for these separately . 3/ could i subdivide my mcol case into two separate claims ie 2005 2006 or is it to late to do this . 4/ allocation questionaire - has anyone advice on filling this out ie standard text? 5/ corbetts say i need to state the section of the unfair contract terms act 1977 , can anyone help here 6/ they also chunner about cpr part 18 , i know i read that this does not apply , but i need to understand what it is and why it does not apply 7/ anyone else got this far and had a defense from corbetts for rbs ?
  9. Hi ,na few years ago i got into difficulties after i lost my job and the abbey national tried for reprossesion, fortunately i managed to stave this off and the situation resolved itself - no thanks to them - during this period that hit my account with charges for management ,late payment charges ect . do all the bank rules also apply to a bs , ie can i sue then for unfair charges ???? any advise much appreciated
  10. Hi Folks i served RBOS with 1st letter and letter before action and had the standard replies , before i go online to start the court claim can someone clarify the following 1/is the interest reclaimed, interest on the charges added to your account or is it the actual interest charged by the bank on your account each month for beng overdrawn or both !!!! 2/ since advising them of the cost @£4500 they have continued to add interest and charges - should i recalc these prior to summiting county court or will the court do this 3/ any loopholes that i should be aware of pror to submission, just making sure i have covered all bases . 4/ what are the current court costs? JIMBOB
