  3. Hi did what you said and sent the second letter to Abbey and they finally replied. However they said that they cannot agree to refund the charges on the accouunt, and said sorry we have been unable to reach a final agreement, but if we remain unhappy we could refer our complaint to the finanical ombudsman service and that they genuinely believe that their decision is fair and are unable to respond to any further corresponsdance. So should I now take this to the next step and threaten court proceedings? Thanks Jody
  4. hi i sent off my letter requesting the refund of all bank charges that i have incurred but it has been longer than 14 days and i have heard nothing at all. I know the bank received the letter as i sent it recorded delivery so a signature is required. what do i do now, send another letter? thanks

  6. Hi thank you to you both for your reply, but i dont understand still, im sorry its just not an area i know much about. Basically i have had £830 of charges in the last year, so how do i work it out on this amount. Would i lose a lot of money if i didnt claim for the interest? I am in the early stages and prepearing my preliminary letter still. Thanks Jody
