hi i'm new and had trouble finding my way around. my son and three other fellows rented out a property and paid 1120.00 deposit they moved out in june, but the deposit still has not been paid. the landlady is deducting a total of 400.00 cleaning(most of this labour) but because a water bill for 180.00 has not been paid will not give them there deposits. we have requested a copy of the tennants agreement but have been told we must pay 20.00 for this. i doubt if the water rates were included in this agreement where do they stand ? what course of action can we take? help with letters would be great.

can i still claim unfair charges even on a business account? and even if i have closed the account?
