  1. Dear Jo You are claiming £10,500, they are offering to settle for £8000 therby saving themselves £1500 - who can afford to lose that amount more - you or them. Does the £10,500 include interest - if it doesn't add 8% to that, which would be at least another thousand. However, having said that, if you are happy to settle for £8,000 then thats fine Richard
  2. Hi AshleyC The bank owes you the full amount, including the interest, don't settle for less! Keep to the deadlines that you have set -They WILL pay out including interest and court fees Good luck Richard

  4. Hi I sent my LBA to Halifax in November, but then had no money to take it to court do I need to start again, or do I carry on from where I left off? On my bank statements it just says "charges as notified", not 'unpaid cheque charge' or 'cleared transaction' etc. as it does on the spreadsheet. is it ok just to write that? Can I claim for interest debited? Richard
  5. I too have been offered a part payment by Halifax, and agree with doinmaheadin, don't be fazed by them. Stick to your timescale and know that they are very very unlikely to choose to declare openly (in court) how they arrive at their bank charges. I'm due to lodge my claim next week as well.
